translated to mean...I do not know how to refute Biblical truth and keep my remarks intact....

There can not be any salvation without grace and the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sin....the forgiveness of sin was ratified at the mercy seat in heaven, when Jesus placed his own blood there....then he went to paradise and led captivity captive and set them free...

so one more time, how were these OT saints saved without grace and without the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sin?
all of therm were saved. ot saits we saved

15 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant

when did cornelious need a mercy seat,

when about 10 years later the met for acts 15 they met to ask what law to give them (gentiles) not what sin that he committed.

.42 And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.

if people are still living, then the dead are not judged yet. etc

meg hi as it was written Jesus went and preached to those in prison.. now that does not mean that Jesus had never visited prison befor.. or does it..

ps ignor et he doesnt allways realise there is another person on the end of his attacks... he thinks for some strange reason it is his right to speak to you how he likes...
the parable of what prison , were you set free from.

for exmple

is death a prison, or a law that condemns all, the prison.

AT Robertson.
Who that?

See. If you would just read the words and stop listening to people you'd be better off!
AT Robertson was a Greek scholar and a believer. If I listened to the Roman Catholic church or the Mormon church, then I would agree with your interpretation of John 15.

Whether you want to call it a cosmetic connection - whatever that is since Jesus is speaking about persons that are IN HIM and I do believe Jesus understood about persons being IN HIM...
Again, "in me" is part of the metaphor of the vine, (in the vine) and not in the body of Christ under the New Covenant which was not yet fully established (John 7:37-39). You need to learn how to rightly divide the word of truth.

or if you want to call it a spiritual and vital connection --

the point is that the branch IS CONNECTED TO THE VINE, meaning the person is saved...
Cosmetic connection (like Judas Iscariot) = not saved, unlike the spiritual and vital connection (of the 11 remaining disciples) which = saved.

and the bearing of fruit is required or the branch will be cut off, it will wither and die, and be burned.
Those who abide bear fruit and those who don't abide do not bear fruit. The branch withers and dies because there is no life to sustain it. Apart from Christ the self attached branch can do nothing.

Simple to understand.

When one wants to.
It's simple, but you chose not to understand.

Because I can't lose my inheritance based on my performance, Otherwise, I would have no hope.

if I could lose it, I would have to trust in self. How is that any hope? That is no hope at all. Only hope IN CHRIST is worthy of our faith.
and your performance of yet again dogging a brother into the gutter is so just deserving of more grace from God ,,, you really carry the honor of God in what ever you say.. always.. oh my lands

It's ok brother. Maybe your brother Meggido is just testing your love!
Only the Holy Spirit can do that, between the soul and the spirit. We as people will just get more agitated with this spiritual food fight, which name calling is not of the Lord. Someone will show him the door out of cc. If all the disrespectful posts continue. THis is Christian Chat, not your corner brawl bar.

Not everyone is at that point of maturity though that they never need to ask. Too many hangups, too much wrong thinking...and we all have a pace of our own, don't we?

This scripture came to my mind about an hour ago, but didn't feel it was the right time to post.

~Heb 6:1 Therefore, leaving behind the elementary teachings about the Messiah, let us continue to be carried along to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead actions, faith toward God,

Heb 6:2 instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

Heb 6:3 And this we will do, if God permits.
small hills, only make mole hills, climbing mountains, puts the whole picture in place.

for example.
a jewish writer, taking about no law,(hello) when there a temple of stone, still in place at the time, he wrote the book of hebrews. lol

that makes sense to cornilous , they took 10 years to have a meeting , to ask what law to give him.

The bible refutes your view.....take it up with God.......and to be frank...your mouthy remarks are getting old. No one can dialogue with you because....

a. You think you know it all
b. You think you know it all
c. You think you know it all
d. Your mouth needs to learn some discipline.....

Don't even talk to me anymore man...every time I try you engage you, you come back with idiocy like the above bolded....

DAVID speaks of HIS SALVATION in the present TENSE
JOB speaks of knowing HIS REDEEMER LIVES and HE WILL SEE HIM WITH HIS OWN EYES <--proof of understanding the resurrection.

When you can be honest with verses given instead of being mouthy and disrespectful then address me...until then...like EG...just ignore me please!

Psa 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments : his praise endureth for ever.

Heb 10:30-31
For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Rev 14:7
,
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
The fear that is spoken of here is awe and reverence!
Not the fear most urban people have for a snake for example, this kind of fear cause people to RUN AWAY.
God should never be a object of terror to those who seek Him.

What actually happens to those who do seek Him is a progressive realisation of how, literally, AWESOME God is, and because of this their reverence and devotion to Him increase!

No, the fear spoken of here is NOT about terror, or feeling scared or being persecuted - these things just separate one from the object of fear.
Instead, awe and reverence draw one to towards the object of awe, with a desire to learn more - this is the fear spoken of in those texts!

Amazing how often you speak about what "a lot" of Christians believe in their heart!
Many Christians go on-line to insist that if they have to continue to believe in order to be saved then they are trying to earn their salvation. I just go by what comes out of their mouth.
