There is no receiving of the Spirit without reception of the one Gospel and belief in the truth of the person of Christ. Feelings and emotions don't equate to a deviation of these truths of Scripture, they are purely subjective. We should always stick to Scripture, not stories and experiences.

We would like to meet Ralph. What site was he on before? I only ask because I wanted to know if it was the site I was kicked out of for laughing at Benny Hinn. I'm just curious.
Everyone wants to meet Ralph.
He's like the Dalai Lama.

I have heard testimonies of the Lord revealing Himself to people right in the middle of a Hare Krishna ashram ( temple ).

I have also heard of the Lord revealing Himself right in the middle of a witchcraft ritual to a whole coven of self-proclaimed witches.

Although we can't base things/truth on "feelings" - there is a response in our hearts when the love of God is poured into it. That can be a tangible reality.
I have read and listened to some testimonies like this from MUSLIMS!

Did He tell them the Gospel?
He is the gospel.

In the coven one ( from what I can recall ) - He walked up to them out of the midst of their bon-fire and touched their lips with His finger. Every one of them was radically saved and stopped their old ways.

When we see Him - we know He is Lord and that He is life.

Here is the story of it if interested. It all started with a satanists calling this guy up to "curse" him.

I laughed when this minister says to the satanists - "I have a message from the Lord for you - I'm coming to get you."

You eat?
Prove it.

I'm not sure about the rap thingy.
He's very particular about his music.

However, if I were you, I wouldn't get involved in those other contests.......

Did He tell them the Gospel?

I have PERSONALLY seen Jesus protect someone against a satanist with great power from their desire to hypnotize the one they were trying to seduce physically

I have PERSONALLY seen demons cast out at the name of Jesus

I have PERSONALLY seen a brand new believer raise his hands with tears streaming down his face begin to speak in tongues and praise God and his face shone, as I prayed for and with him. the interesting thing there, was that I could not speak much French at the time, and this man (around my age I was 20) was French! but the Holy Spirit made God real to him!

I could go on and on. All of this belongs to God. I do not care who considers it bragging. It is not.

If you have not personally done, seen or experienced this life in Christ, then truly your bragging is for nothing and it is all words

take it as you will

Scripture says if we try to add works to salvation we put God in our debt. Putting God in our debt is what is insulting to God.

"Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works" (Romans 4:4-6).

I understand reason very well. Do you understand the above? Paul knew Jesus are you saying we cannot trust his teachings?

Oh by the way, I am not one of Dcon girls, I think for myself.

Having said that I am more than pleased to call him a brother in Christ

He contends for the faith in Christ Jesus, the simple doctrine of ......For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--

Ephesians 2:8 A gift is a gift. Do not make a gift a wage due.

I'm persuaded that you have many times said that Jesus did it all and so we are to do nothing since works are an insult to God because HE already finsihed His work.

This is not true. You want HIM to do it all but YOU have to do some stuff too.
I even explained why theologically this idea is not correct but I think you don't undertand the reason.
Won't get into it again.

Why is it wrong to say that Jesus did everything and
that He does everything for us?

I don't see it as bragging either.

I see it as edification.
We need to hear more things like this...

I agree with the above.

It has to do with getting salvation.

Salvation is a two step process.

Too many stop at step number one.

Since I've been going on about this for many, many pages. I'll stop here.
You could look this up if you're interested.

I think it maybe happens to the weaker among us that we have this reaction in our actual flesh sometimes, to comfort and urge us on. It has been a long process to learn that just because I don't feel this for a while does not mean He has abandoned me. I don't know why He leaps in some of us this way and not in others, but I have somewhat come to the conclusion that it is because I am weaker...
I am the same way. The Lord has always dealt with me by faith alone. I have had a few times when I actually felt His presence and it is awesome but I don't live by them which is to say - I don't base my life on whether I experience them or not.

The most over-whelming aspect of His manifested presence for me was His love. His love is such a weightly thing - tangible and I couldn't take that much of it. I couldn't move a muscle. His presence is one of no condemnation and it does have a lasting effect on you. It was like getting liquid honey poured all over me.

Sometimes it's hard to articulate things like this.

They are a very sacred time together with Him and I often remember them when there is no outward manifestation of the Lord's presence. He is with us whether we feel it or not. We are one spirit with the Lord forever. We walk by faith and not by sight.

But we don't live by sight nor feelings - we live by the faith of the Son of God who loved us and gave His life for us.

I was very high alert when talking with him. I thought it would end badly, maybe even with me kicking them out, so I stuck VERY heavily to scripture. I pointed out every little thing I heard that did not seem to me to agree with the Gospel or with the broad sweep of God in the past. I even insisted on only the bible, because it was evident to him I had received the same Spirit he had with only the bible and not the other book they use. Honestly, I think I was not the only one shocked that day. I think he was every bit as surprised that I had the Spirit as I was that he had the Spirit. He was very eager to speak with me again because he had many questions. When the other two came back, there was an almost palpable hostility so I extricated myself quickly and immediately pled God to protect that young man from them. I think the hostility was over the truth that we both recognized the Spirit in each other when what they wanted was converts to their "second" book. I also think they thought I could not sense the hostility because they smiled a lot but I tell you the smiles were like...oh, I can't explain what the smiles were like. It gave me a bad headache and queasiness to sit with them and be polite while I tried to extricate myself. I met a woman once I was convinced had a demon, which I know sounds horribly crazy, but I had that same queasiness and headache around her and felt that same...palpable hostility. I hope to never run across it again if possible.

I have no argument with what you say.

My point is if God makes an appearance is He not going to lead them to Himself? They still have to believe just like Paul did on the road to Damascus.

God does not act outside of purpose in scripture.
