1 Corinthians 8:2-3
The one who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. 3But the one who loves God is known by God.

The HG gospel is an abstract reality, which is not reality at all. It imagines that the works of faith done by Jesus is transferred to the said recipient, and by focusing on that mystical transfer one becomes righteous in the eyes of God. This myth cant be further from the truth, and is a form of godliness denying the power of grace to fulfill the works Titus 2-12....................be blessed
I don't think you've really listened to some of them.
Then again, some of them have not really listened to you.

Yes I have seen some people imply that when you are born again you are fully a new spirit man and never mention the need for growth and maturity. I keep waiting to see if they will speak of it...some do, others just don't seem to ever get there.
It's rather impossible to increase in spiritual growth when a person doesn't believe in conviction after salvation. That's when the Spirit deals with us about sin & righteousness.

I've tried to get them to tell me how they grow without conviction, & all I get is silence.

People live in this world by being born physically. Feed the body the proper nutrients in this world and it becomes strong and lives a full healthy life.

We live in the spiritual world by being born of the Spirit - born of incorruptible seed. Feed this new man in Christ the proper nutrients of the grace and love of God in Christ and they will grow in their understanding of what Christ has already done for us.

If the body of the flesh born person doesn't get the nutrients for proper health - it will die prematurely and yet it will always remain a human because of it's birth in this world.

( This person is always going to be the son/daughter of their father )

The same goes for us spiritually born again and sealed with the Holy Spirit when we hear the gospel message of Christ. Eph. 1:13.

We always remain a son/daughter of God because of Christ's work - not our own to "save ourselves or to keep ourselves saved". Jesus alone is the Savior of us all.

Ephesians 1:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13[/SUP] In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Let's feed our brothers and sisters in Christ the nutrients of God's grace and love in Christ's completed work on the cross and resurrection so that we too will have the proper nutrients to manifest Christ in and through us to a hurt and dying world that needs to see and know the love and grace our loving Father and Lord have for them.

I just wonder how or what someone would feel if he/she belongs to a church whose pastor or minister would preach week after week all year round and so on, all about FAITH and would not do anything for fear of being suspected as works salvationists.

Hebrews 6:1-3 Therefore let us LEAVE THE ELEMENTARY TEACHINGS about Christ and go on to MATURITY, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of FAITH in God, instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And God permitting, we will do so.

In the OT-PROHIBITIONS
in the NT-ENCOURAGEMENT because of the power of the HOLY SPIRIT in us

Romans 14:19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual EDIFICATION

Ephesians 4:16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and BUILDS ITSELF UP IN LOVE, AS EACH PART DOES IT’S WORK.

The Church is the body of Christ of which He is the head(col 1:18, eph 5:23, 1 cor 11:3). The head gives the command and the body works. That is the reality.

A person claiming to be a Christian believer but does not obey the heads command is either not really a part of the body or a dead part that needs to be cut off, as in a cancerous part that if it is not cut, it may spread and contaminate the other parts.

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He gave instructions to His disciples for them to do. They are the works of salvation that His Body was prepared in advance to do. (eph2:10 & 4;12)

Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

If the first church did not work or obey what God told them to do we’re DOOMED.

Being a prophet is a work as well as being an apostle, a preacher, a teacher, an evangelist, etc.(1cor 12:4-11, eph 4:11-16, rom 12:6-8)

Do we now boast about what we reap from their labor? Would you insult them for doing works in obedience to the commands of the Almighty Living God THROUGH their FAITH?

I wonder if one of these days someone here would call our Lord and Savior Jesus a work salvationist for telling the rich young man in matthew 19:16-30 to obey the commandments and sell his possessions and give to the poor.

These people would look for ways to distort the TRUTH of the Gospel to protect their personal interest that go against God’s words.

Do we rather ought to OBEY and SUBMIT?

Hebrews 12:9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we SUBMIT TO THE FATHER of our spirits AND LIVE!

Matthew 8:27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

John 14:15 “If you love me, you will obey what I command.

Acts 5:29 Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than men!

Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

Romans 2:13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.

Romans 6:16,19,22 whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to OBEDIENCE, which leads to RIGHTEOUSNESS? ..., so now offer them in slavery to RIGHTEOUSNESS leading to HOLINESS....the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is ETERNAL LIFE.

Romans 8:7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. IT DOES NOT SUBMIT TO GOD’S LAW, NOR CAN IT DO SO.

That's the thing with these OSAS's, easy believists, & hypergracers, they all have the same thing in common: no commitment, no submission, & very little obedience.

It's no wonder they don't believe in the Falling Away.

I definitely believe there is a great falling away and has been since the gospel has first went out. Remember that the last days started in Acts 2.

The reality is people can be going to church every time the doors are open, praying 5 hours a day, read their bibles 3 hours every day, witness to every thing that moves, be pastoring a church for 30 years, read the scriptures in Greek and Hebrew, live good moral lives and still be "fallen away" from the faith.

The "fallen away" which is the Greek word aphistēmi really means to "with draw from, depart from, abstain from

People "fall away from the faith" when they rely on what they do or don't do for life and righteousness instead of relying on what Christ has already done.

There's a handful here that posts only scripture & the truth. willybob is one of them.

What do they get for it? Either attacks or total silence.

They don't deserve the way they get treated.

Going to be honest here Stephen63...most of the osas/preservation of the saints believers (which is a biblical and orthodox doctrine) are way more godly in walk than you are from what I see of you on here. I say this in truth and in brotherly love and I'm going to be honest yet again: for them to be so is not much of a feat, considering what I and others see.

Greetings Stephan..one does not grow in the Spirit, because if one is truly saved the cup is always full of the Holy Ghost no matter the size of the vessel....but, we are to enlarge the cup by adding to the faith, (growing in the faith), by adding the virtues of knowledge, temperance, patience, brotherly kindness and love 2 Peter 1.........be blessed

For those that enjoy teaching videos - here is a good one on why Stephen was stoned by "God-fearing religious people that thought they were defending God's truth". It's all about control and of course a blindness to the true gospel.

Follow up

2 Thessalonians 1:3
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

no verse in scripture speaks of growing in the Spirit...............be blessed

these flesh kings that you continually post have no clue what the biblical definition of grace is, because they derive their conclusions of scripture through the flesh and not the Spirit.................be blessed and dig deep, build your house on the Rock of truth, because the flood of lies is gushing from the fountains of the deep pit upon the whole earth, especially within Christianity.......
