the things f God are foolishness to a non believer, why should she be expected to do godly things? When they are foolish to her?
Exactly! So if any godly thing, like loving, is to be done, it will have to come through the Spirit in me. And murdering her in my heart is not loving. It is a clamoring within myself to be treated well rather than a pouring out of my self life for her so that my Lord can have the one He loves.

A man once said that if we are being a bridge to God for others, we should not complain that they walk on us.

I think...I AM getting it...:D
And I think I am to love her rather than murder her. I do not think being despitefully or selfishly used by someone justifies my murdering of them.
Keep pressing on.

Ok I'm going to ask another question.
if tomorrow on one occasion you get angry then you feel you have committed murder then on the next occasion you don't angry.
Which act weighs the heaviest and why? And vice versa

The occasion where I didn't love her weighs the heaviest, because I did not show my Lord to her but instead showed her my selfishness.

Thats why why we have to rely on God, we fail, but Satan wants to point to our failures as end alls, and put us down, do not let him do this,

And to your other question bill - yeah, I think that's the only problem with my mother that I have - my lack of love.
Bless you sister.

Ok I am going to go out on a limb here.

If the issue of anger is only with your mother then you don't have an anger issue per se.
The issue is your relationship with your mother.

If that's the case then it needs to go deeper.
I don't think this thread is the place to do that.

If you think I am right do you trust any of the ladies on this site enough to talk to?
Many Godly ladies on here whom I'm sure would walk with you.

If my thoughts are wrong then please tell me.

I want want the best for you as all of do on here, for each other.

Oh thank you bill! He is helping me very well though!
The conversation began by one man saying the Spirit convicts, you agree, then you obey.
So my question was, but HOW do you then obey if anger in your heart means you have already murdered?

Because the only way I have found to get any victory or to obey His command to not murder is to ask Him and trust Him to supply what I lack.

Selfishness is connected to fear and self protection.

If you feel selfish in your relationship with your mother, I wonder if you have forgiven her for the pain she's caused you? And if you've forgiven yourself for any times you've allowed her to cause you pain?

I only feel selfish when I react in anger to her demands on me. It has gotten much better now that I don't try harder to be good but instead ask for the love I lack. :)

Okay so John 15.

Let's go there:

11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

17 These things I command you,
so that you will love one another.

Peace and Joy is a fruit of the Spirit. Who benefits from "peace" and "joy" - we do as well as others indirectly that are around us. The fruit that Jesus is talking about is a manifestation of His life in us and it has many facets.

Dude your sinful perfection, and filthy rags confession will be left wanting when weighted in the balance on judgement day...Are you so foolish to believe that the more you sin the more grace you receive? If so, you have no clue what grace really is. You truly have perfected sin.............
It is obvious that you do not understand English and or most concepts found in the word....I quoted scripture and never said I did or do anything...more proof of how much you reject the word of God in favor of your own dogma...and I see your working for buddies joined you...just like Korah...good luck in the pit!

So what really is grace?
He has no concept of grace....all he can see is working his way based upon his own righteousness while disregarding and rejecting the imputed righteousness of Christ in favor of his own righteousness and sinless perfectionism.....

Like all HGs, you have no clue what grace actually is....If you think more sin causes more grace you are even more deceived than I thought...Deceived people don't know they are deceived, that the horror of it. God said STRONG delusion, not just ordinary delusion buddy....it appears by your own words that you have indeed perfected the works of sin (sinful perfectionist).........try presenting your filthy rags on judgment day and see how well that works when they are weight in the balance and found wanting.........
Never said nor implied that....go back to school and learn how to read and or English structure....then come back, read my post and be honest with the words and verbiage....especially the quoted verses!

By accepting Jesus as our Savior, Jesus is put in our place at the second judgement and we are declared righteous because of His life. We then have the freedom to grow up into the Christian character talked of everywhere in the New Testament and shown at work in the life of Christ. This is a process and takes time. The Holy Spirit knows each person more intimately than they know themselves and works with each one accordingly. Growth is something we look for in our lives as proof that the Holy Spirit is working through us to will and to do His good pleasure. It is consummated by those, who like Jesus, die for others - even praying for those who kill them. There is no greater love than this. But the Holy Spirit is the one who takes responsibility for doing this through us. It is our responsibility to listen and obey Him. Grace is ALL of this.
Amen.....truth here............as opposed the the sinless perfectionist working for dogma spewed above!!!!!

Willybob...do you really believe that anyone here believes that the more we sin the more we have grace?

It is so far fetched and such a false accusation. Be careful how you twist the Grace of God it is not a good thing.

Why on earth would I present my filthy rags? Really you need to stop trying to be perfect and let yourself believe that God died for your sins and has made restitution by His death and given us His righteousness

11For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men. 12It instructs us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13as we await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.…Berean Study Bible Titus 2:12
That is all he has.....just his opinion which is the same way he approaches the word of the Living God....he denies the imputed righteousness of Christ, John's inspired word on sin, the plethora of examples found in the word while pushing this Pharisee type self righteous working his way there <----the plenteous in number grouping......!
