There is one Everlasting Gospel.

I share openly what I recieve.. i will be accountable with each word.. rightly so.

So much confusion and doctrines of men.. it is sad to witness.. but in GOD we Trust who is not the author of confusion.

The time may may come when they will want to behead us for our beliefs... may you all fear not and be Faithful unto death.. because we are not to be of this world and look to our Everlasting life with our First Love.

Well, you asked Stones where she got her stuff from. She got it from the bible, the very same bible that you read..But yet you ask her if she adheres to what she reads in it..

Oh this is about stone.. okay.

Who taught you this? Is this what you adhere to?

Who taught you that that you can EARN salvation by being good? That is what the Jews preached, They crucified Christ because he had the nerve to tell them they were wrong,

I know Stone.

This is such a great thread that it goes by very fast.
I too have missed posts to me.

So you accused loveme1 of being a JW because she said something about the cross not being everything --- I can't go back and look for the post.

You were rather horrified that she mentioned something about the cross that you THOUGHT was derogatory.
Really is WAS NOT.

So... I explained to you that Jesus did not come to us ONLY to die on the cross -- there was another reason.
I asked if you know that reason.
Then I told it to you.
Jesus came here to teach us how to be members of the Kingdom of God here on earth.

As proof, since you won't take my word for it of course,
I asked you to check, or find out, HOW MANY TIMES Jesus speaks of salvation or being saved in the gospels,

and

HOW MANY TIMES He speaks of the Kingdom of God here on earth and how we're to be a part of it.

I asked you to PLEASE find out and then come back and tell us.

(I know the answer, it would be nice for everyone here to know the answer also)

THAT was your "assignment".

I'm serious...
In loveme1s own words, not quoted verbatim...only God gives me the assignments.

I don't mean this as an insult. It is Holy Spirit that teaches me and points out what I need to know.

We are past the question. She herself answered.

The kingdom of God is within us Fran. We live out of His Kingdom.

The He kingdom of heaven is our destination at death. We are a new Genesis. If you would study, you would see this. It's not just the law that is passing away, but this world as we know it. So we are learning to live as Kingdom people out of His ruling within. No need to look and laws of old. We are born to obey our King because of love. And even love itself is not of us because He has shed abroad in our hearts the love of God. That is scripture. And added to this is the HOLY Spirit given. Our Holiness is His own Spirit given when we believe His promise that He will give Him, and within Him is life and godliness to live.

its not laws we obey but life in Holy Spirit.

my iPad messes with punctuation etc. tired of correcting. Sorry

Matthew 16

24
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

28Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

The Messiah declares He will come and reward every man according to his works.
he spoke of believers there, not unbelievers,

and unbeliever is condemn already because he has not believed in the name of the son, (Jesus own words). He who believes is not condemned, has eternal life, is born again,

believers work because they have true faith

why should I fear, to be absent from my body is to be present with the lord,

the only people who would fear are works based theology people, who may n
ot know if they have enough works or not.

What's ridiculous about it? Salvation IS NOT and CAN NOT be earned. It is a GIFT bestowed on us by God as a result of our having faith and belief in Him. Jesus got crucified because they knew who He was, and were afraid of His power and what He could do.. So EG is right on point with his statement.. :)

Oh my.... that is ridiculous...

So you're telling me to obey God while telling me at the same time that I'm slandering God's people for promoting obedience to God's Word and commands. Isn't that very hypo...?

Matthew 23:3 So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.
That verse goes very deep! The Pharisees were beyond reproach as to Gods' commands (looking at things humanly).

They obeyed meticulously in tithing, the Sabbath, etc.

And yet Jesus said their righteousness must EXCEED that of the Pharisees!

Oh my that's sad,

but its true,

the jews thought they earned eaternal life, how do we know? The asked Jesus what they must do,

if if they knew, they never would have asked. And you, just like they, teach we have to work to earn the reward,

The only ones confusing things are you and Fran. The rest of us here agree.

Not a single work saves us.

Not the meal you serve a homeless person at a soup kitchen.

Not the lawn you mow for an elderly neighbor.

Not the driveway you shovel in winter for an old lady who cannot do it herself.

Not the money you donate to charity.

NONE of these things will save you, or keep you saved.

no. Eternal life comes before rewards. I seem to remember the post to you about putting the cart in front of the horse.
