I'm not ashamed to say that Jesus requires us to obey Him.
I'm not ashamed to say that works keep me saved, as He said.

Do you ever read the verses I post IN THE BIBLE or do you just run right past them?

Jesus said that if we do not abide in Him WE ARE DEAD AND TO BE BURNED.

IF WE ABIDE in Him, it means we're obeying Him.
If we're obeying Him we're doing good works.

If we're NOT DOING GOOD WORKS we're DISOBEYING GOD.
You know, not disobeying our husband... disobeying GOD.

So yes, our works keep us saved because JESUS said to do them and it is proof of our salvation.

What is the proof of YOURS???
And why are you ASHAMED of OBEYING GOD?

You're SUPPOSED to obey God.
See Deuteronomy 31:15-20
You'll love it.

It says that God gives you a choice.
To obey or not to obey.

To obey is LIFE.
To not obey is DEATH.

Read the WHOLE BIBLE.

Really, then offer a clear rebuttal to the Perfect Tense, where it is used in the New Testament by your own expertise, in Koine Greek....not present day Greek, but Koine Greek.

we all know the story of moses.. he preached the law abided in the law and met Jesus in spirit after his death on earth..

the moral here is obeying the law until the end indeed is a good sign you will meet Jesus

If you did your research you would know dcon and I had a pretty big disagreement on faith and I have not been swayed to see it the way he sees it.

But I know one thing for sure dCon preaches the trues simple gospel that saves...... where the cross is more than necessary but also sufficient to save.

In the OT yes, the choice was to obey law or not. And they could not. Had to sacrifice animals, young animals before they acted out of their maturity or the beast nature.

But, NT choice is will we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved from this untoward generation. Not sure what untoward means. Will look but it sounds bad. :)

Believing what God the Father has given is pleasing Him. Unbelief or rejection of the gospel will bring His wrath. And His wrath is not going to be poured out on His own members.

I will never believe works are necessary to keep us saved....why?..... because this nullifies the work of the cross which is something that you are not yet able to see.

so, is Matthew 5 the entire Gospel? are these the only Words that Christ spoke on earth? or are they other Words that need to be used to balance ( not contradict ).
