Yes. This is what we all are saying through faith. Faith is obedience. That which pleases Father.

Justification comes several ways. I thought I posted those scriptures but will have to look.
What total confusion...

By what DIFFERENT WAYS does justification come Stone?

alas we are all saying the same to each other.
Your interpretation is incorrect (that's not referring to you but a quotation) and you twist to fit your belief system.

Problem is that there can be different interpretations. We even see that in bible study guides.

Either side of the equation is not going to change.

What distresses me and i know you are not like this, is when we see people posting
"Your doctrine is sending you to hell"
Calling fellow believers sinners because they don't adhere to your doctrine.

To me the only thing sending someone to hell is rejection of Jesus for salvation in order to be reconciled to God.

One day we will all find out the perfect truth of Jesus and if we believe in him then its eternity with him.
He will test our works and it is he and he only who say "Good and faithful servant in you come"

Anything that detracts from Jesus atonement as God in the flesh who died on the cross and rose again for us is what needs to be challenged.

To me Jesus required two things. Faith in him and as a result we go do and be like him to each other and the world.
Tell me Bill,
WHO is sending WHO to hell?

Go back to page one and read.

Have fun Stone.
I don't need a break.

The Holy Spirit is right here by my side.

You go right ahead and get your break.
Maybe this is a problem for you. Let Him inside and a real transformation of your heart can begin.

Oh yes.

I forgot!

Sorry.

You like to be driven around.

Unfortunately, God is up in heaven.
He gave you THE KEYS,
but you're not using them.

GOD IN NOT A CHAUFFER.
God is omnipresent, look it up.

Are you trained in the art of deflection? Just curious:cool:

It was you that called it the aorist perfect tense upon which G7 corrected you, and you baited me trying to correct me when I was correct all along...just like you are baiting everyone here that disagrees with you.

. Can you read? Really. You say you're a teacher.
Ummmm what happened to why can't we be nice? LOL

And you even got likes for the above!!!

What a club of believers in wrong doctrine!

SO...
UNLESS I COULD PROVE something I have CLEARLY stated I have no knowledge of and have no interest in
my gospel of salvation by works will be false.

LOL

1. Oh. It was accepted before?
2. Where was anything about Greek mentioned in the post you're replying to?
3. Can you read? Really. You say you're a teacher. Did you read that GREEK does NOT INTEREST ME?
4. You know the difference between today's Greek and the Koinè Greek.

Wonderful.

All is clear now.
There's smoke all over!!

Actually, and still, you don't know what you're talking about. You make a mockery of the sealing of the Spirit, and are facetious when speaking of it dismissively, as you do.

This sealing and its tense show that it cannot be undone, but is, in context of Ephesians 1:12-14 kept intact until the converted person experiences redemption.

That you believe a person can undo this work of the Spirit borders blasphemy, is utterly arrogant, ignorant of Gospel facts, and dismissive of the eternal work of God upon His elect.

Of course, no Scripture, just an asinine and sacrilegious illustration is offered concerning the work of the Spirit of God.

The above shows your blatant and facetious attitude toward the sealing of the Spirit upon His elect, comparing this to a package of lasagna.

It is, frankly, obtuse of you.

You really ought repent of your attitude towards the Spirits eternal sealing of His elect. You're opposing His eternal and gracious work.

It's the phrases you are using that reveal your motives...or what is behind your teaching. You say must. That is law. I say will. Out of our heart.

Also, can you provide a scripture that says what you just said about judgement day? Not saying there isn't but it doesn't ring that bell for me.
I'm reading thru and trust PHart will answer this.
However, I've posted this so many times, I know it by heart.

John 5:28-29

John 5:28-29 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

28 Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice,

29 and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

All in the tombs will hear His voice...this is referring to the judgment.
We will be judged by our DEEDS.

JESUS IS SAYING THIS. Not PHart (or me).

Jesus also said that the dead branches... that do not abide in HIm... will be cut off and cast into the fire and burned.

JESUS IS SAYING THIS, not me.

You're welcome,by the way I repped the post too,it makes alot of sense after all for when God seals anything only he can remove his own seal,For who hath such power but God himself to do so?

P.S.

Tell me Stone,
WHAT would be our motive?

What are we saying that is so detrimental to you?

Do I want you to come to my house to iron some shirts so I have to convince you to do works?
Do I want you to go care for somebody's sick parent?

NO!

I don't even know where you live. I can't come to your house and drag you to do some work.

WHAT WOULD THE MOTIVE BE?

Except to fight this horrible concept that is flooding the Church.
An incorrect concept that DID NOT EXIST until recently.

I've posted a lot on this. Why do you not believe even the early Church Christians., some of which KNEW the Apostles that spent time with Jesus?

Tell me what the motive could be?

Okay Really; let the horse push the cart or "let your works go before you":

For some unknown reason, (pride) people put their own works before Christ Jesus - the song goes "How Great Thou Art" not look how great I am. Their is only one reason why people do not Magnify the Lord, and put God's work before their own and that is "Pride" the original sin. This backwards theology also happened between Cain and Able; Cain brought forth his own "good works." Able's sacrifice was acceptable to God; Cain's was not. This is basic Sunday School theology.

Even if you give people proof; they will still put forth their own works, (pride), ahead of God's.

Romans 8:7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Matthew 25:14-30 The Parable of the Talents “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them. To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more. So also, the one with the two talents gained two more. But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money. “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’ “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ “The man with the two talents also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.’ “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ “Then the man who had received the one talent came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’ “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest. “‘Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Joe,
You endorse a poster that believes in double predestination and has admitted that even if babies are not elect they go to hell....be careful who you endorse...P4t is hard core TULIP Calvinist, who believes solely in predestination and that God elects those he saves and also believes that since God elects only some to heaven, he also sends others to hell....and those he sends too hell have no choice in the matter...He admitted this on a very old thread another Calvinist started weeks & weeks ago....

But, Meggido, that specific post was not about any of this that you state he believes. The rep was for this thread.

And gossiping again? Let us make our own judgements on what we think.

Don't kid yourself...you discuss nothing, you reject truth, cannot admit error, twist what we say, argue moot points and adamently stand against any truth not hammered out on your anvil of works!!!!
Good morning Sir, i believe you should be taking your daily dose of medicine.

Matthew 19:16-30 The Rich Young Man Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments.” “Which ones?” the man inquired. Jesus replied, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’” “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?” Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?” Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.
