Mmkay so you and others are on record calling the rapture stupid & fictitious. So if yall do witness people getting taken & if you do get left behind I hope yall wont be screaming why was i left behind, lol.
So you're telling me salvation is based on believing in a rapture, which is found no where in the Bible? My salvation is based on the cross of Christ, and the grace of God, who saved me!

Just quote me the verse that says we are saved by believing in the rapture, and I will humbly admit I am wrong! Or, just quote me a verse with the word rapture in it at all. And the verb harpazio doesn't count!

I expected it to get a lot darker than it did, we were at around a 97% eclipse, got kind of dusk like for a minute.
The light value barely dimed at all here in Florida. It seemed maybe a tiny bit overcast.

I agree. In this area it was a non-event. Even at 81% impartiality there was a tremendous amount of daylight.

We made homemade projection boxes at work. One of my co-workers had some welder's goggles so I got to look at it directly

Blain, this is so naive! If there was going to be a rapture, which is NOT in the Bible, why would there need to be a sign? I thought there was to be no warning?

Or, we've all been left behind!! NOT!

Start reading the Bible in context and stop listening to Internet false teachers, and you will benefit a lot more! The eclipse was one of many which have happened all over the world, for millennia! Just because this astronomical phenomena happened in America, doesn't mean Jesus is going to return, let alone this stupid, fictitious rapture the blind fall into the trap of believing!
Angela Where in that post did I say I believed this? I have studied bible prophecy for a good long time now do you really think I would believe such nonsense? I said many believed this I never once said i did, I have said on here many times that these things are called signs and signs point to something or warn of something they are never the instigators

What books or works would you recommend from your good long time studies? I happen to believe you would believe this stuff that you call nonsense, given the many nonsensical dreams you have, believe in, and share on this site.

Just going by track record here.

I said many believed this I never once said i did
Seems contradictory because below you revert back to believing in signs after you attempt to somewhat renounce them here...

Hmmm...odd.

Just wondering what works you've employed in your longtime study of prophecy. I would like to take a look at some of these works.

this should have been sent 'privately', concerning one's feelings: yes, this is only my opinion,
we're all different and unique in our own God given way - but we are taught to be kind-hearted
at every turn, except when we are led by Christ to scold!:)

Who said anything about salvation depends on those who believe in rapture? Whether you believe in it or not is on you. The scriptures says pray you are counted worthy. As well as to keep watch / be prepared. Not saying you personally but i've seen people on here relentlessly belittle others who believe in the rapture which is not of God.

Yes I believe we are to pay attention to the signs but as I said they are to point or to warn us they are not instigators, i am very much against date setters. You can take what i said however you please but I do not like being accused of something I never said. If you must know about my works of studying bible prophecy I Read the bible constantly cross referencing verses and books in the bible connecting and also dissecting verses and scriptures along with the books within the bible themselves.
I create a spider web of sorts and then when I do that to a subject I am studying I do research on historical events in history and see how it relates and connects to my studies if it does at all and sometimes i need help understanding or finding a particular things so I will sometimes watch a video or documentary and I also will study commentaries written by other people who share my interest in bible prophecy.

Does this suffice your question?

Hmmm...since you feel so sincerely about this, why didn't you send this privately? Why? Because you wanted to scold someone based upon your assumptive accusation.

And I'm not backing down on this. If a person is so bold as to post dreams, signs and wonders and, then there is no embarrassment as to be called on this. This wasn't shared secretly, but boldly, and publicly.

I want to, again, inquire as to these works. I am asking kind heartedly for this information.

Perhaps, oldthennew, you should try some MYOB and not meddle? All you are doing is causing division by your above statement by assuming ones heart.

You don't know my heart, nor do you know it was unkind, in other words you've made accusations that are unnecessary and unfounded.

Now, I'll await answer to my inquiry.

I'm looking for references, authors sought, church authorities you've sought in your long time studies. The verses you've made spider webs of references &c.

You've referenced history, what history, whose works exactly?

You did. You stated don't be surprised if those who don't believe in it are left behind by implication. Your intent was obvious. She nailed you for it.

i'm living like 4 miles from dead center of the totality line. hosting family & friends from out of state here :)

identified 4 planets during totality: Venus, Jupiter, Mercury and Mars - and a handful of brighter stars. the difference between 98% and 100% was amazing; the change was sudden when it began, like flipping a twilight switch, and as it ended, a red line across one side, then a bright white spot, then pow, too bright to look at. no clouds until after totality, and then thin, scattered ones that you could clearly see the crescent sun through, without glasses, when they passed by.

and all from my backyard! thank you, God!

Sweet! I was out in a field of property we bought with a welding helmet. A few people got to look through the lens as well while there. Our 7 year old daughter got to see it during school. The school bought all the kids glasses to view it with and she was excited to share about it when I picked her up.

It's all written in my journals so the proof you are asking for is not something I can just show you but I don't base my research on authors or church authorities it is mainly the bible itself I do this and as for historical events I have the internet but I prefer to my history book instead. For one thing Something I have seen is like history bible prophecy often times repeats itself and many times a certain prophecy is foreshadowed and also can sometimes have a dual meaning. Israel seems to always be a main factor in bible prophecy . I study bible prophecy out of interest not to find out when or how soon the rapture or the tribulation is and if my methods or my information is not good enough for you that is fine I honestly don't care because I have nothing to prove.

My only concern was making sure Angela knew what I really said which you said amen to without understanding what i said either

Only the lord knows whos counted worthy. People will be saved during the tribulation so no i never indicated salvation was depending on believing it. I clearly stated "IF" those people were left.

No, I understood what you said kind sir. Angela most likely did as well.

Yes, I know you don't care about myself in this or how I feel (which is quite unChristian) and figured you'd get flippant about anyone asking you to substantiate your study.

Any person who has studied would be more than willing to share this with others, and if not, would not mention the study. It appears you don't like being called on what you say and just want others to buy in totally to what you say, and leave you unquestioned. Perhaps give you props for it as well. If so, then they're your friend. If questioned to substantiate it, you don't care about them or how they feel.

Interesting.

I'm not sure how you attempt to scold me as to your methods or information being "not good enough" for me when you've given exactly no information at all, something I've been requesting all along.

Anyhow, what history studies? You said you studied history in this endeavor, so I ask again. Sources?

Also, do you believe persons should go to college to learn? What about Bible study? Should the person learn from others as a check and balance as to their findings?
