I think I figured out one of the problems regarding your rep not showing I noticed you've given only 5 likes,I think your given likes and your received likes have to be balanced out, before your reputation power will show.

anyone here grow up in the country or south? i remember tattoos being a huge big deal back in the day. getting a tattoo was like selling your soul to the devil to my family. my dad told me if i ever got one i would not be allowed to be buried in the same cemetery with the rest of the family.
i grew up in the southern Appalachians, but was raised by hippies instead of Primitive Baptists ((that's an actual denomination name, not an insult)). i knew people who have views like that, but those views were never impressed on me. i thought about them and discarded them, which was the way i was raised to approach philosophies.

When I was younger I was a completely different person and have had a lot of tattoo work done. Some people condemn me because of this ink and say it goes against God. I would tell them the bible says to decorate your temple and this body is my spirits temple. In Deuteronomy 14:2 it is written that there should be no mark on the body of symbols or names of different gods. In Timothy it is implied that the body should not be a source of drawn attention. So, should one feel ashamed for tattoos? Does this ink label someone and that can never change?

If you want to decorate your body, just wear nice clothes.

And I read your poems.
You can write well also.
Maybe you will do a sort of...Christian comic book with illustrations.
Don't laugh, but my favorite movies are DC comics and Marvel. I love any plot of good versus evil! :)
Thank you for your kind words. I like those types of movies as well :) children book is a great idea too

iirc i think reputation points don't show up until a certain post count, maybe 50 or something. i think you even get 1 automatic rep level when you've posted 50 times

*shrug*

it's just one way we can express that we love someone with the forum tools for what they've said - but i think that much is already obvious without having a number increment :D

I saw the attention to detail. And the pic of the grim reaper (combined with your poems) made me see that you could do comics. I wasn't ragging on you. My art teacher told me my work was very disturbing and "in your face" and told me I reminded her of...the guy who painted "The Scream" whose name I can't remember right now. And that was when I was doing self-portraits. And my intent was NOT to be "in-your-face or disturbing, and I was going for extreme realism, but...I guess it was just disturbing haha!

I think disturbing is good for an artist. It means your work, whether drawing, painting or writing, has affected the viewer. :)
Thank you. I have done alot of independent work as comic strip for newspaper and other design for commissions so be worth looking into. I would love to see your art work

If I figure out how to transfer one of my shorts or micros (stories), I'll post one of the short ones for you. There was one that won in a contest of a few hundred submissions, which surprised me, because it had a spiritual theme. It was one of those contests where you have to incorporate three prompt words into the micro story. But...I'll probably not figure out how to transfer a pdf because I'm puter illiterate haha!

Ah, it would take much longer to unearth any of my artwork than some of my writing. Funny thing - when I met God, I never painted another picture...that's odd...it wasn't a conscious choice.

I guess sub consciously you just switched from one muse to a greater one. :)
