Galatians 2:16-21
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 17But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. 18For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. 19For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. 20I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
You are missing the whole point.

John 14:15 (HCSB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP]If you love Me, you will keep My commands.

Also, can you show me the translation you used in this scripture. I have never seen the "you will" part. That does change the whole meaning of this verse. I'm interested is seeing what translation you used.

Thank you in advance

Psalms 95:1-3, “Come, let us sing to יהוה! Let us raise a shout to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His face with thanksgiving; Let us raise a shout to Him in song. For יהוה is a great Strength, and a great Sovereign above all mighty ones.”

It seems you may have just done what you accuse others of doing. It's easy to do, I'm not judging. I would ask you a question though.
According to the Law of Moses, how was sin cleansed from God's people?
The Law and the prophets were until John....we are not under the LAW....hence Hebrews...a better sacrifice, way, system, a better priesthood a better covenant....We are under the NEW Covenant!

For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

One more verses there...

Luke 16:16-17, "The Law and the Prophets were until Yahchanan(John), since that time the Kingdom of YHWH is preached, and every man is pressed to enter it. But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail."

Mat 22:36-40, "Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law? Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might (Deuteronomy 6:5). This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Leviticus 19:18). On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

A good rule of thumb for doctrine, teaching, thinking, writing or whatever you are doing, is to stop and think who gets the glory? Is it man or God?

The real Gospel is God-centered.
Real salvation is God-centered.
Real worship is God-centered.
Real doctrine is God-centered.
Real teaching is God-centered.

If you say I gotta keep His commandments to be saved, you are putting the emphasis on you.
If you say God is the author and finisher of our faith, and will complete the good work He has started, you are putting the emphasis on God.
AMEN.......God gets all the glory dia JESUS.........men who MUST KEEP themselves "anything" steal the glory from God......and we all know who originally wanted to steal and take the glory from GOD.....He said I will 7 times........!

Does not change the fact that the LAW and PROPHETS were UNTIL JOHN....as much as you wish it was.....

All this does is tell me that you have no need and or trust of JESUS......there is NO LAW that can be kept to give, bring or maintain eternal life.....

SO...either you trust and need JESUS or you think keeping the law is what saves you....end of story!

So you do realize those are Yahshua/Jesus words?

John/Yahanan 5:24, "Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life."

Mat 4:17, "From that time יהושע began to proclaim and to say, “Repent, for the reign of the heavens has drawn near.”

Revelation 22:12-15, "And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work will be. I am the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. John/Yahanan 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

John 12:26, “26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.”

John 3:36, “He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Yah remains on him.”

Luke 6:46, "And why call Me; Ruler! Ruler! and do not the things which I say?"

So let me see if I have this irght, your saying that by seeking to hear and obey His words I dont rely on Him and thus rejecting Him?

That is certianly an odd doctrine you have there.

Matthew 12:50, “For whoever does the desire of My Father who is in the heavens is My brother and sister and mother.”

John/Yahanan 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

What law is that? The law Abraham was given the promise for obeying?

Salvation....

is it by grace thru faith or keeping the commandments?
Entering the kingdom/salvation is obtained by the way Yah says.

Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Yah has to believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him.”

Hebrews 5:9, “And having been perfected, He became the Causer of everlasting salvation to all those obeying Him.”

John 3:36, “He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Yah remains on him.”

John/Yahanan 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

Of course we know without His mercy none will enter, this does not mean I can reject the narrow path.
