Forgiveme, but your declaration here i quite foolish. I jsut liek the name, Yesua, but I use the name Jesus usually. Please do not put on the brethren charges that are not valid.

If we were to pronounce Christ's name from the Hebrew correctly it would be traqnlated, and you would be obliged to call Him, The Salvation of the Self-existing, quite a mouthful, so I like Jesus or Yeshua.

It's funny that this cult teaches there is no power unless you pronounce it properly. You know, as if God's Sovereignty and omnipotence were under the control of a humans vocal chords.

Talk about deception.

Foolish? Watch your name calling and mouthing another, asserting one as a fool. What I stated is accurate, you just don't happen to like it. ANd try keeping things in the actual context of what I said. Thanks.

Hebrew Roots is a cult.
What is that to Jaumej?

Some are allowed to reach for the Greek and Hebrew for a better understanding of a verse but those who seek a closer derived name of their Lord are cultists.. not buying the hypocrisy.

phil36,
re: "...yes it is in scripture..."

Where?
Hi rstrats,

Just so it's understood, yes it is in scripture as an example for christians meeting on 1st day (sunday) to commemorate the resurrection, what that means and entails .. :)

Do you not worship Jesus, do you not hear the word being taught? or do you think when we come together we are not to worship Jesus? of course that would be very silly to think so wouldn't it? Does your church not teach about what Jesus has done, do you not sing hymns about what Jesus has done???

Jesus and Him crucified (that should give you a wee hint).

And as for the first day, it has been given in other posts and not just by me

I have studied this for years, I see you readily admit you know nothing to tell me Im wrong but rather turn to others to without checking what is true for yourself. I dont mean that we can never learn from others, but we should seek to knowfor sure if what they say is true or not. I have seen many scholars some Jewish who have things wroing, some who refuse to speak His name even... I have done my prayer and diligently studied this matter. I am open to facts, but I am in no way unlearned in this matter.
You say things without understanding the reasons for it. God prophecized that Israel would forget how to pronounce His name. Since ancient Hebrew has no vowels the vowel sounds for YHWH were quickly forgotten since they never spoke that name considering it too holy to pronounce. Instead they used another name for God. Religious Jews today still do that.

Also do you know the name Jehovah comes from YHWH going through the Latin Vulgate translated into English. I took Latin in HS. Latin has no Y or W. The Latin J is pronounced like Y. The Latin V is pronounced like W. So YHWH from Hebrew becomes JHVH coming from the Latin Vulgate. Therefore the English pronouncement of Jehovah is incorrect. Yehowah would more properly be the correct translation for pronunciation.

Any named denomination is a cult if Jesus Christ is not a card carrying member. This leaves only the faith of Abraham as valid. I believe all who believe Jesus Christ no matter which cult they believe themselves to be a memeber of are of the faith of Abraham... this would include believing members of the Baptists, the Hebrew Roots, JFJ, SDA, RCC you name it, do not judge anyone, not even someone who appears disobedient for it could be the will of the Father. His ways are not our ways. You may judge what is correct for yuorself, but never FOR others........this i commanded by Jesus

Hebrew Roots is a cult.

You seem to be strong in obtaining the agreement of erroneous flesh, but the Holy Scripture with understanding from the Holy Spirit is far from you and from your posting.

That indictment you've pronounced upon others is on you. When you rush in, angry, go against facts, blindly, and imply others a fool? Yep. That's all on you.

First, God does not prophesy.........He says what is before it happen, while it happens and when it happened because there is nothing He dos not know.

Second of all, as a prson studied in language, the name Yahweh or YHWH comes from the Hebrew verb Hayah. Like in almost all languages, an infinitive maya be used in the noun or nominative form. Example, infinitive to read may be a gerund by dropping the preposition and adiing ing to the stem, read, ergo reading. Reading is a wonderful passtime. There....and like this so Hayah has a nomnative form, Yahweh, and it certainly may be pronounced.

Now there are no magic words with our Father, none. The power of one name only Jesus christ or Yeshua Mashiach or as ome prefer Yeshua HaMashiach is the most powerful name because it is in His name all has been accomplished.

Do not say it is prophesied that Yahweh cannot be pronounced, because it is not. With all who know jE4SUS cHRIST, yESHUA, WE KNOW THERE is no such thing as magic legitimized by our Father, only His power....

You say things without understanding the reasons for it. God prophecized that Israel would forget how to pronounce His name. with apologies but Jehovah or Yehowah is impossible Hebrew. No Hebrew speaker would use it. It arises because the consonants of YHWH were intermingled with the vowels for Adonai to indicate to a reader that he should say Lord and not YHWH.

It's typical Jaumej. When the facts can't be dealt with he usually retorts with... I am Holy and have spiritual knowledge and you are just following man. It shows his ineptness in dealing with facts.

Its how you win an argument apparently.. claim you are more spiritual and everyone else is of the flesh!

More of your claims of judgment. All who believe Jesus Christ are led by the Holy Spirit in their understanding. If you knew this you would ot be leveling accusations so easily.

The word cult in religion implies a group of people who adhere to new revelation. As such Christianity is a culture of Judaism. Christian cults include Mormons, Christian Science, and Unification Church. Each of these have a book of new revelation they adhere to in addition to the Bible which holds second place to them. Their book(s) override the Bible!!

Without this new revelation and adhering to the Bible only makes them Christians with distinctives in minor issues. Adherence to the Apostles Creed defines who is and is not a Christian!!! That is the reason for the Creed!!!!

Some names and words off the top of my head which are transsliterated to English from Hebrew.....

Hohn, Jeremiah, Jerusalem, Jacob James, Joshua, Judah, Joseph, Jellyfish, no, leave out tht last one.

Now it is prfectly in line with all of these incorrects ounds tranliterated from the Hebrew for some to mistakenly refer to YHWH as Jehovah, also replacing the w osound for a v.........

No one should speak over his own head when it comes to this subject for even expert scholars are in error about the Hebrew language, and preobably all language for that matter. One example in English is the word god. The word god is traced byck to Sanskrit, however the origiin in Sanskrit is not truly known.........get the idea yet?

It is not profitable to attack people who have worked to learn of the Hebrew tongue, or any, to continually attack without your weapons loaded......It makes people, the ones with the weapons, look foolish.
