The blended tax was 15% when I left the province I lived in,I know what I was paying in tax. And it was higher in NL. My profile says American because I am NOW American.You put down the country you are now in,not where you use to live or where you were born. I was born in Canada and lived there my whole life till about 18yrs ago. I moved to the US and married an American.

I can understand that
I'm 1st gen Canadian, background is mostly German and I use expressions that to an American ear sound funny I guess
I've heard some Newfie accents and I do not always understand what they are saying...mind you, I've heard some accents down here that I have to keep saying pardon pardon...I start to 'panic' cause I'm afraid they will think I am making fun cause the accents are usually accompanied by a darker skin color if you get my drift

Yes,I have German on my moms side.I got a kick when I played "Buddy whats His Name" for my hubby. If you are familiar they are a Newfie group and quite hilarious. Hubby said he couldn't understand a word they were saying.lol My grandfathers accent was horrible,the old accent,hardly knew what he was saying.
Yeah the south has some pretty bad accents. Hubby can mimic them really well. But we won't talk about darker skin or the all knowing Canuck will call us both racist. Oddly enough,a friend of my mothers told me one day that she didn't believe blacks and whites should marry. We had a rather heated discussion on that and she didn't talk to my mother for a long time because I called her on her racism. But secretly,Im really racist.rofl wink wink.

I hope you are having a wonderful day today. I wanted to touch back with you about what you and I were discussing last night. I just cannot imagine Christ calling someone a "Butt Pirate" maybe something accurate like "Sexually Immoral" or "Blind." Christ spoke to the heart..not just the ears.

Ah, man! Don't blame women! The Republican party has a good stance on women's rights. It's just the Democrats turned that into I-want-abortions rights.
Women aren't leaving the Republican party because Democrats believe in "women's rights." The Democrats wouldn't know a right if it bit them!
Any woman who says she voted for a Democrat over "women's rights" is lying. She voted for a Democrat because she IS a Democrat. I've had it up to here (waving hand above my head), with women who say, "I don't subscribe to either party. In the last ten elections, I voted with my heart, but this time..." Because every single woman I've seen who says that voted for a Democrat all her life and is now merely making an excuse to vote for yet another Democrat.

Often it's months at worst, but usually probation, if anything. I live in Philadelphia. I feel your pain. And, nope. It doesn't get easier to bear the longer the pain continues. 60 years of Democratic rule in this city. The only reason we survived this long is because at least earlier Democrats were conservative compared to what Democrats are today.

Not one single Republican gets elected ever in this town. #briberyworks) And to add to that, we just elected the lawyer for BLM and Occupy Wall Street for our DA.
City Council proudly announced that they found a way to have students learn to read by fourth grade. Oh, and now they won't suspend any grade school student, no matter what! Hurrah for the bullies and thugs!
