Did you ever have to write a term paper in school or college? I assume it was PERFECT (without any humanly detectable errors) because of your absolutely FLAWLESS proofreading!
Pretty much. And if people consider what they post important enough to go back and edit, then maybe a bit more initial attention needs to be applied.

And what happens when your Internet connection freezes up for five minutes or more, through no fault of the person posting, but before the post has been completely written? Or what happens if there is a power outage in that same scenario?

The 2018 elections are around the corner and I fear a bloodbath for the Republican party. If Roy Moore is the caliber of candidate that they field in the election, the democrats will have a cake walk.
Same thing assumed with Trump.

Truth is the Dems will win in 2018. That's how it works. People vote for opposites. Dem Pres; Repub Congress. Repub Pres: Dem Congress. That's why Presidents only get two years to get legislation through. And Trump? He has wasted/been blocked his first year. On the good side, it looks like the federal government can't do anything but the bare necessities. On the bad side, unless the Repubs find a better candidate for 2020, this is a one term Repub. Then again, that might be good news too.

America seems to be loving fringe/egos for politicians.

In either case, I imagine nothing would be posted at all. I think you have to "SEND" the post before it shows up online.

Contact the Moderator! In that scenario it sounds like they would understand.

I'd love to see your statistics to back up this wild claim that rapists only get months.

How exactly are the democrats shafting women or keeping this shafting going?
Feel free. You've got Google too.

And, sorry. Already seen enough of your talking to know you don't listen even when someone does reply, so "love" is a strong word for someone who doesn't "love" to listen.

What do you suppose is the real meaning of the phase "at the last "TRUMP" in the bible? Closing time ... for mankind?

Don't get me wrong, Inq. I also think the 5 minute limit is stupid. But that is not what you asked. The existing limit is what it is, and there is nothing we can do about it. (Lord knows hundreds of members have tried.)

Yeah right! Like Google is not politically biased! Personally, I like Classic dot Startpage dot com, and Alltheinternet dot com a lot better than Google! Most other people would too, if they would just try them!

You don't have to support anything. Here's where I think most Christians get it twisted. If your religion says you can't do something then by all means don't do it. But you don't have the right to tell someone else what they can't do.
The hypocrisy in this statement that you always push is you always say this about Christians, but I have never once heard you speak against non-Christian for forcing their beliefs on others.

Whenever you post it's either "Christians are bad" while defending those who oppose Christianity.
Or cop hating while defending law breakers.
That's all I ever see from you.

If a homosexual force gay indoctrination on young school kids without their parents approval, or even knowledge, you say "that's ok", if a Christian doesn't want to bake a cake for homosexuals that is "forcing" their religious beliefs on someone.
Methinks you were banging your head against the wall long before talking to anyone here. That may explain your disdain for the very beliefs you claim you hold.

The five minute limit for modifying a post certainly seems indefensible to me! Sometimes it takes LONGER than five minutes to even create a post, especially if it is long and complex. I have been on numerous chat forums before, but I have NEVER SEEN a time limit placed on any post modifications ... until now! What is the point of such a time limit? Some posts take longer than five minutes just to READ them, WITHOUT making any modifications at all!

The 5 minute limit is to prevent trolls from changing their posts before caught. The limit has been in for years and the site owner has made it Very Clear this limit will not change. So may as well get over and it make adjustments accordingly.

You could type things on notepad first. But what happens if the power goes out? Oh. Look. Maybe it's not the sites problem after all. It's just a reality of life in a first world country.

Seriously if you get thay upset over edit times on a web site it's time for you to step back and to reprioritize.

This is why we all endeavor to learn to check as much of our presentation as we can before we hit the "SEND" button. (And why we enjoy some good-humored ribbing of others when they miss something.) We all blow it occasionally. It ain't no big deal.

The fact is that I DID "send" my post, then realized that I didn't explain myself adequately, or left a word, phrase, or entire paragraph left unwritten. It was AFTER that, that the five minute limit shut me out from completing my postS!

Then what we all accept as normal, is to simply add whatever you need to in another post.

Lol,I suppose I should have said I hope they aren't that stupid AGAIN.
We've tipped the scales. It only gets stupider from here on out... unless God brings revival to our country.

Honestly, until April 2016, I thought America was nicely divided. 10% idiots from both sides of the spectrum, but the other 80% balanced the scales. i.e. 80% of Americans weren't idiots.

It worked like that most of my life, but then 2016 happened. the scale is, at the very least, even -- 50% idiots. The idiocy rate is growing though. Even if it only goes to 51%, which I think it has, that means idiots rule.

Truthfully, we're headed to an oligarchy. Someone is pulling the strings of the idiots to get them to be riled up over stuff that doesn't need to be riled over.

Something like 300 cops in the course of ten years were found to be criminals. Sounds like a lot? 1.1 million cops. Even if you go with they only find 10% of the criminals, it's still over the course of ten years, so far, far below 1%. Women might not be able to get abortions? only 4% of women get abortions! Opioids are causing everyone using them to become addicts? Nope. Only 3%. Pot, a drug that has been deemed as "good," is causing more addicts. The LBGT community is being stiffled? Not even those 3%ers are being stifled. Everyone is bending into pretzel-shapes to make them feel accepted. They ARE accepted, about as good as it gets for any group. And now, suddenly "sexual harassment victims" are coming out of the woodwork? Apparently, it's rich white men who are the evil ones.

All these horrible horrible abusive people are less than 1% of the population, and it all effects no more than 3% of the population, but 97% of the population is being riled by it for a reason. This is the beginning of causing chaos in a country. Once chaos is fully established "charismatic" people will come out to "protect" us from all these horrible, horrible things because the government can't.

And they will become heroes. Heroes like Senator Palpatine. And we will be grateful and elect them in to save us from chaos.

AND the first thing they'll do? Destroy the very ones who started the protests they orchestrated.

We are in the very beginnings of oligarchy. We're headed toward the same thing Russia, North Korea, and the Middle East already have -- dictatorship. History has taught us this, if we but look there. Even fiction has taught us this. And there is but one hope -- God.

But notice: God has not helped Russia, North Korea, nor the Middle East. It might well be a form of his wrath.

The only way the tide of stupidity ends is the Lord. But history tells me he doesn't stem this kind of tide often. He's out to get his people. He replaced his nation with the only one who could do God's good -- Jesus. There are no more nations of God. There is only people of God from all nations. And all nations include some Russians, North Koreans, Middle Easterners, and Americans.

Batten down the hatches. The storm has already arrived.

Write your post in Word, then copy/paste it.
Or is blame-and-complain just how you live your life?

Do you want to discuss NUMBERS? The democrats have made a HUGE fuss over a comparative few who have been killed or injured by firearms (guns), and want to virtually ban them. Yet we almost NEVER HEAR about the 300,000 to 400,000 who are KILLED in hospitals, clinics, and even doctors' offices due to medical MISTAKES! Which number is GREATER ... those killed by guns, or those KILLED in medical institutions? They are KILLED by misplaced decimal points, wrong medicines, wrong labels, being placed in the wrong hospital room, and even defective equipment!
