I can only go by what Jesus said. Just because you call Him Lord, Lord, doesn't mean I should trust your words over His.

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: (You that call Me Lord, Lord) depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
For years this passage use to mean to me "Gosh, if these dudes are professing Jesus, AND DOING all these things, I better reeaally buckle down, and get working!!"

I believe God's Grace has worked in my heart to discern this. So what is the iniquity Jesus is talking about? I am convinced it was relying on THEIR works, which are filthy rags, instead of His Work on the cross.

An example of these people could be Jehovah's Witnesses. I have personally seen them do great works for the poor and destitute, preach jesus, and (by human thinking) live godly lives. Yet we all know they don't profess the Jesus of Scripture. Not believing He is God in the Flesh and other heresies. It seems to me that they could be of those that say"Lord, Lord....".

Also, it cannot be emphasized enough, that Jesus NEVER knew them, or maybe clearer, made a new creation in them. Jesus didn't say" I knew (created a new heart) you at one time, but between the sins you committed after that, and the lack of works you did, depart from me and enter hell"

If you believe, he will complete it.
Bible doesn't say that at all. God is not dependent on someone's faith to complete a good work, what He start's He will certainly finish regardless of the faith of the person that He's working through.

Nice embellishment of the word....I suggest Revelation...those who add to the word will get hell to pay.....your first line contains your embellished addition and your second line denies and rejects context......you are living very precarious!

Have you noticed, that those who fall into the trap of saved by our works, HAVE TO HAVE VERY LONG POSTS TO SUPPORT THIER FALSE BELIEF. I guess it has always been like that. Because of these verses, I am learning to become as brief as possible. I do not want to be grouped with the wrong bunch.

Proverbs 10:19 (HCSB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] When there are many words, sin is unavoidable, but the one who controls his lips is wise.

Ecclesiastes 5:1-3 (NRSV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] Guard your steps when you go to the house of God; to draw near to listen is better than the sacrifice offered by fools; for they do not know how to keep from doing evil.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] Never be rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be quick to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven, and you upon earth; therefore let your words be few.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] For dreams come with many cares, and a fool's voice with many words.

and here we have it- sinless perfectionism, failing to realize that perfect has a meaning of mature.

as I told you a while back, I've dealt with many of your kind, you all do the same thing- set up a fake moral high ground , based on the delusion that you do not sin ( you do, in do, no one is sinless ), then use that fake high ground to shot down at us dirty sinners about YOU have it all figured out, YOU are right with God, YOU keep the commands perfectly, YOU know how to properly interperet Scripture, we should listen to YOU, YOU know.........

Jason 047, in sprit in truth, peterjens, Stephen 63, all pushed the same thing you do. you dress yours up a bit differently, but the same old garbage. " I don't sin " . yeah. right.

That's called Freegrace, or Hypergrace, doctrine. The forbidden doctrine in this forum. It's the new once saved always saved doctrine that has seduced the church in this end time before Jesus comes back. We will not recover from this. Only the true believers scattered about within this polluted earthly church will be saved when Jesus comes back.

“The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."-Matthew 13:41-42

True stalks of wheat planted by God have the fruited head of grain in them. The tares only look like stalks of wheat. They have no fruited head of grain to signify them as being genuine stalks of wheat. The tares will be gathered up and burned, not saved.

Don't be deceived people. Tares with no fruit of grain are going to be burned not saved when Jesus comes back. Don't be deceived by someone who tells you fruitless tares will be saved too. Those who tell you tares will be saved despite having no head of grain because salvation is not by works, and because once you are saved you are always saved, will themselves be destroyed for tearing down, not building up, the building and field of God-1 Corinthians 3:17.

Do you think there's a cure for being self Ralphteous?

youre so confused

you have been pushing someone can obtain and lose salvation over and over again based on their works

stop twisting the truth

a simple break down of your posts shows this
No, works don't earn you salvation. Your works show if you have salvation or not because you can do nothing on your own and not having salvation. That's why the fruit of the Spirit shows you are in Christ. Only those in Christ bear the fruit of the Spirit. Their fruit shows they belong to Christ in salvation. Fruitlessness shows you do not belong to Christ in salvation.

Walking by the Spirit is not self righteousness. Walking by the Spirit shows you have the Spirit in salvation. Not walking in the Spirit and walking in the flesh instead shows you do not have the Spirit and do not belong to Christ.

"For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God."-Romans 8:14.

Those who are not led of the Spirit of God are not sons of God.

Yes and how many times he does not respond to posts where scripture prove him wrong.:D
There is nothing I can't respond to. If you're talking about your post. I will respond to it if you want me to. I honestly think it a waste of time since you are hardened in your doctrine and won't be able to hear anything I say. I had hope for you, but I see you are not able to see. But if you want I will respond to your post.

It does not say that, It says he who began a good work (the work was already started) will complete that work.

see. You contradict yourself. You just told NNM that you have been saying that we examine ourselves to make sure we are walking BECAUSE we are saved, not in order to keep it. Yet here you say that is not true. Then say we are not listening to you.

We hear you loud and clear.

Thats why I stopped listening to you and responding to you along time ago.
If you think that receiving from God is not conditioned on faith then you are Freegrace.

This is what I've been trying to point out to you folks. You want to claim a traditional once saved always saved stance but then you say things that go against that belief you show yourselves to be Freegrace.

Oh, and don't forget to put me back on ignore so I can continue to respond to everyone's posts here, including yours, without your interference.

No, you never had any cool to lose. Also, I really enjoyed the humor in Locutus gif, hilarious!

For the record, I couldn't care less what others here think about me when I challenge their errant beliefs, and when they come against my biblical beliefs, name call &c.

Your above is merely an opinion of a brother, showing that not only do you lie about others, but hold hatred in your heart towards brothers. Both are spoken of in Scripture and point to a not so good spiritual state.

But you're not interested in looking at your own sins and failures on here, and accepting the fact that many on here have called you out for lying.

Many people.

Some of your problems are that you spend much time trying to convince others they don't believe what they believe, that they live in sin, that they aren't then born from above, while giving yourself a pass on lying. You are obsessed with this and repeat it ad nauseam, even when told that these things are not believed or practiced. That's all I am saying, it's a known fact you do this, and somehow you think you get a pass for this.

Very interesting, I'd say that you're deceived about yourself thinking what you preach only applies to them but not to you.

Why is it, "Ralph-" that you continue on in this sin?
You're the one who claimed to be Calvinist. How does that make me a liar?

Seriously, put me on ignore so I can respond to everyone's posts here without your distractions and interference. Start talking doctrine and stop attacking and falsely accusing. That's what I'm here to do, expose your false doctrines.

If you have believed, practice of sin will end.
If you don't quench the Spirit. If you even have the Spirit to begin with.

If you're fruitful, you know that you have the Spirit and that you're not quenching it, and that you're saved and ready to meet Jesus when He returns. The fruitless ones are the ones who need ear tickling (false) assurance that you are saved despite your fruitlessness because salvation is not by works and because once you are saved you are always saved, so works don't matter to your salvation.

What's funny is you yourself said you are Calvinist but you will not stand up for the Calvinist argument I'm making that only those who believe and have works now and have them to the very end are saved now and will be saved when Jesus comes back.

Don't fool yourself by rationalizing a fruitless life by saying 'God' knows my heart'. He wants YOU to know the truth about yourself. Examine yourself. Produce the fruit of the kingdom so YOU can know you are saved and ready to face Him when He returns. That's not a works gospel. That's what the Bible says. YOU know you are saved by if you are bearing the fruit that only those in Christ are able to bear.
