But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you behardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

James said if i had no works, if i had 1 work 20years ago does not matter, he said no works.

And how would you know if i had one work 20 years ago are you God?
Who are you to judge?
Hi E-grateful, benhur is very judgmental I have noticed. And using fictitious people and stories are never a good strategy when applying truth to a discussion because there is no way to go back and verify. The people and places in this make-believe story are not real.

"It is a fabricated made up story", as you have already taken notice, "20 years ago?"

I find it interesting that the dialogue always comes back around to this, what is more interesting is those who believe works have a part in salvation or good works are necessary to prove salvation, really believe they have answered the question.
they're obvious questions, IMO

i'm saved by works or my salvation is maintained by or contingent on works?
ok, is that quantifiable? one work enough? no? how many then?
what's the cutoff? is 9 not enough but 10 sufficient? is there a 'grey area' in between more than enough an not quite enough, where God will go case-to case basis?

does the distribution matter? can i get all my necessary works over with over a week, a month, a year - pack them all in a hurry and then not have to do anymore? can i put them all off till my deathbed and then phone them in over a couple of days? what if there are large gaps between them? is there a certain spacing that they have to be done in or they only count as one work?

what if i memorize a psalm while helping a little old lady across the street and i leave a trail of food for the poor as i go?
is that three works or just one, because they're simultaneous?

???

The bible says when he returns as a thief, whoever is alive will be caught up to te lord.

the bi le also says many people from many nations will serve christ in the mellenial rein
Really surprised you chunked this verse out in light of the fact it also states, "But you brethern are not in darkness that that day should over take you as a thief"

the way to giving Him all glory is narrow
Exactly.....and the minority within so called Christianity gives all glory to God in Christ while believing eternal salvation and security based upon grace and faith and the power/promises of Christ.....

Exactly why the number is plenteous that gets cast!

It occurs to me that this verse is not referring to the common salvation but of those who go on to perfection.
There are those who will be saves through fire but will lose their reward: to be "Made partakers of Christ,"
"If we suffer with Him, we shall rule with Him."[SUB][/SUB]

Eternal Security: 1Corinthians1:8,9

8) He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9) God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Yes we are. Notice, of all the newcomers who support grace plus works to keep yourself saved, "none" will give their theological background or their Church associations. If we knew the answer to either of those questions it would be much easier to have a real discussion. Better yet why are they keeping this information a secret, are they not happy with the choice they have made.

Something to think about, why so quiet.

According to your calculations about how to be saved, no.

According to my calculations about how to be saved, yes. If you commit to Christ in 2018, then reject Christ in 2025, he will reject you and your salvation is lost. My calculation includes a provision for enduring to the end. Yours does not.
Then you have believed a FALSE GOSPEL OF SALVATION. Can such a gospel SAVE ? ? ?

2 Corinthians 11:4 (HCSB)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] For if a person comes and preaches another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or you receive a different spirit, which you had not received, or a different gospel, which you had not accepted, you put up with it splendidly!

Philippians 1:6 (NCV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] God began doing a good work in you, and I am sure he will continue it until it is finished when Jesus Christ comes again.

John 10:27-30 (HCSB)
[SUP]27 [/SUP] My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me.
[SUP]28 [/SUP] I give them eternal life, and they will never perish—ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand.
[SUP]29 [/SUP] My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.
[SUP]30 [/SUP] The Father and I are one.”

DO YOU BELIEVE JESUS OR THE FALSE GOSPEL YOU HAVE BEEN TAUGHT?

Regardless....I will keep swinging......their dogma is not of God and has no power!
