The thing about 'dear' is something I picked up during the 8 years I lived in Maine. Everyone said that, after awhile I said it too but not to guys because that's just strange.

I love it when I can Amen you! Amen! But in principle we need to stay open to God's version of this is all and stave off prejudice.

Hmm, i see. So they are like the past version of one direction? (Couldn't think of a 2 membered boy band)
I have heard of One Direction, but am not familiar enough with their work to know whether or not they would be a fair comparison. Actually, come to think of it, Simon and Garfunkle would be hard for anyone to match. They were pretty much peerless :D

Here is one of my favorite song of theirs :)

Simon & Garfunkel For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her

What a dream I had
Pressed in organdy
Clothed in crinoline of smoky burgundy
Softer than the rain

I wandered empty streets
Down past the shop displays
I heard cathedral bells
Tripping down the alley ways
As I walked on

And when you ran to me
Your cheeks flushed with the night
We walked on frosted fields
Of juniper and lamplight
I held your hand

And when I awoke and felt you warm and near
I kissed your honey hair with my grateful tears
Oh, I love you, girl
Oh, I love you

"The Boxer" was one of my faves for playing on guitar and singing

Or - "I would never do that my beloved Sister in Christ!" Actually, Same dif - only better for me personally the second way..but you really said nothing un-apropos to the Spirit of God there.
Dear is gender neutral I think, well most of those are, depends on who is giving to who. In a marriage husband or/and wife could call each other sweetheart, honey, sweetie, darling ... & what have you!

Very good. I am just saying we must preach from the position of a relationship with God not from a doctrine of Christ alone. Yes, God has doctrine in His relationship, but when we corner the market on godly doctrine thru human reasoning that is when prejudice enters in is all. I agree with what people have said, but to this we need to be cautious and heed His Word relationally.

How ironic that sounds just like me:

I survive buying honey at the grocery store; even while the last honey I bought there is with me on my pant leg still - I also get a little infection from the produce dept. usually from the slit open Cantaloupe the kids were playing with in front of me.

That's so amazing how we almost go thru the same experience there. Hi Tourist how are you today? LOL  ...

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat is going on in here LOL :D !!!

My favorite song by them and really the only one I know is The Sound of Silence. Interestingly enough, I first heard the song from my ex-favorite band Nevermore. Who I found out later in life that there Satanic (So no I don't recommend them)

The second one was without one of the band members.
They are broken up now but most of us still have faith of their reunion... including me.lol
