prosperity gospel is the notion that god provides those he favors with material goods

deliverance ministry is directed more towards freedom for everyone.

I have the same problem with both. What of the people God does not heal?

Good question. God does not favor those who are in the deliverance ministry over the unbeliever.

Saying that bipolar is a sin, is basically saying that someone who has bipolar disorder has it and its their fault.

I'm sorry, but that kind of talk and thinking is the kind that push people away from God.

Vahn, I wish you the best. I highly doubt you will have an answer to all these questions. God does not always heal. But, the other sad truth is there are many times when God would have healed if only asked. I think the key lies in accepting whatever God decides to do and praising Him for His wisdom in knowing best what we need.

If you desire to be healed, why would God take that away from you?

Why would He not?

Matthew 13:58
And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith

I'm likely to say something I shouldn't, so I'm going to stop. I have quote that verse to myself many times. Included also, "Lord, I believe. Help thou mine unbelief." I choose to believe that God simply has a plan for not healing because it is a much better alternative to the other answer. Thank you for your replies on this subject.

How unfair is to say that if someone has a disease it's because she/he doesn't have enough faith in healing or because of sin. Are we those healthy less sinful??? we deserve to be healthy? come on, that's fooling yourself or worst it's plain boasting. I'm perfectly healthy and I count it as blessing not something I deserve.
It's true that sickness doesn't come from God but He does allow it at times and doesn't always heal either. See Paul, he asked 3 times to be healed and then said "your grace is sufficient for me".
For those who are sick, be sure that God has a plan with that in your life, He can be glorified through you probably better than if you were healthy.

I am so excited to see open dialogue about issues of this nature because we often put God in a box in which He cant deal with mental health, true deliverance, etc. The bible says "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12. Sometimes we have Christians in hopes to not sound spooky dont talk about the delivering power of Jesus.

There are spiritual battles going on right now and although we cant see them at first they will manifest physically if we are not protected by the full armor of God. AliceofLegend, I heard you say that your illness has gotten worst since you have become a Christian. There is a story in the bible in which a demon is cast out and when the person it came from was left vulnerable to the attack the demon went and got 7 more worst than him and occupied the body. If you think your illness is getting worse I would suggest asking the Lord to be filled with His spirit, and know that God gives to us according to our faith, so just believe and receive!

God didnt create Satan, but Losifer the angel in heaven. He made a decision to go against God and in return was cast down. We all have a free will and decision to make. We can believe that Christ died for us or not. But KNOW that the blood of Jesus Christ covers our sins. KNOW that His sacrifice on the cross means we have access through the Spirit of God to healing, power, love, peace, and healing of the mind. Jesus we ask you to bind the enemy in the name of Jesus in his attack on our minds. We ask and receive a complete healing and believe that we can operate in a sound mind, free of ALL mental illness. We thank you in advance for your saving and delivering power, in Jesus name, Amen. May God's perfect peace and perfect love rest upon your hearts and minds!

Mental Illness and diseases are not always the work of demons...

glad you realize that. If my bipolar is the work of demons, I've been demon possessed all my life.
No believer can be possessed. A believer can be oppressed by demons or demonized.
