i wouldnt have thought it was a sin within marriage but i guess both partners have to talk about it before and what their views are about it

1. I don't think it's a sin.

2. Dot, solely out of concern for your emotional health, given the fact that you have created threads in at least three different forums regarding a certain sexual issue, and given the fact that you are not close to being in a marital relationship, don't you think it would be better to dedicate your thought life to non-sexual matters for a time? When you are wrestling in a given area, dancing around related areas are not helpful. Just sayin because I care.

I think sex is only for procreation.

And procreation should be carefully planned.
having sex and just thinking "if god wants me to have another baby, he will give me another baby".
Is not quite the best way to to approach sex i think.

Using sex for pleasure, will drive you away from god.
Actually, doing anything for pleasure's sake... will drive us away from god.

We need to do what is best for the other living beings on this planet and for god,
not what we think is best for ourselves. And coincidentally, what is really best for ourselves,

is not to lust for sex or other pleasures,
not to desire to look beautiful, be popular or have a life full of luxuary and "experiences"...

but to desire for god... the holy spirit... to fill us... and everyone on this planet.

I'm not so sure about that. Within marriage, we have been given to each other for pleasure....as well as procreation. Numerous passages in the Bible talk about that.

God told Eve that her DESIRE would be for her husband. He didn't add, "but you can only make babies".

1 Corinthians 7 indicates that neither women NOR men are to withhold themselves from their spouses so that they will not be overcome by desire and sin. Says nothing about procreation.

And I'm seriously beginning to believe that someone out there is publishing Bibles that have deleted Song of Solomon. :)

If sex is just for procreation, God should just kill me now because I never want to get married again if that is the case :)

Song of Solomon is beautiful and poetic. Why people don't read it, learn from it and ahem use it, I don't know.

My next husband has to believe in Song of Solomon. The whole book.

Since sex is primarily for procreation, any sex which tries to deny the possibility of conception is an abuse of the sexual faculty, and so is wrong. So it depends what you mean by 'oral sex'. A bit of oral stimulation as foreplay would be alright, but if you mean a couple orally stimulating one another to completion without vaginal intercourse, then that would be doing it wrong.

well i guess there will be a lot of 'doing it wrong' in a lot of couples futures then maddog...
though i dont believe what you state is specifically mentioned in the bible though and seems to be more a personal thing.

causes of mouth, throat cancer
I am know about guys who damage because of this
No it doesn't.

As long as your partner/spouse doesn't have any STD's it's perfectly safe (and I'm counting HPV as an STD).

I believe that its a sin.

I dont belive God gave a person their mouth, to do that with. The mouth, he gave for us to eat and drink with. Thats why it leads to our stomachs.

He gave us other parts, with their own functions, which lead to the womb ect for creation.

I think its a direct misuse of something God has given you. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, i dont think its a good thing to be using it for.

I belive it is wrong to have oral sex one night, and then give your child a kiss the next morning, with the same lips. Its disgusting, what a horrible thought.

With that logic I'm guessing you think natural childbrith is a disgusting horrible thought as well?

Ohh so that's what those things are for. I wish I would've known sooner, cause I could've been saving a lot of money over the last three decades or so by not buying them. eesh.
At the rate I'm going, I might never need them. That's a lot of savings.
Maybe you should be a financial advisor.

Im just curious why 15 yr olds are commenting on a thread about oral sex anyways...

It just seems like a lack of knowledge in the subject matter would preclude their involvement. Though to address the point that was made about mouths werent made for this...if that was the case, it probably wouldnt have been in the songs of solomon...
