Depends on what you mean by "turned to him." If it means they repent of their sin, start to study the Bible for themselves and get grounded in truth and sound doctrine I say fantastic. If it means they continue to be influenced by false ideas about Christ and Christianity perpetuated by The Chosen, Inc., well, not so good.

Yeah, when I was seeking God, I didn't need a movie production to help me with any of that. God led me to a neighborhood Bible study that was lead by a very godly guy who prayed to God about the content of each and every Bible study meeting he conducted. From that, I received a Bible in a translation I finally understood and a good church to go to. I did get encouragement to start praying to God by a friend who wasn't even saved at that time (he is very sweet though even so), but God must have known he'd get saved too years later.

All I'm saying is that people don't need anything fancy at all to find God. People just need to go to God Himself for all of that.

I didnt say they need the chosen to be saved but the chosen has made people aware of Christ. America has its background in Christianity but here in Aus it is as aethiest as you can get. Even the older generation dont even acknowledge him here and the younger generation, well its like they have never heard of him. The film has been good here for that reason.
A lot of people have never heard of Julius Caesar, that is my point, people do not know things because of their own ignorance which they choose for themselves.

My favorite portrayal of Christ in a movie was Ben Hur.

"Be still, and know I am God", doesn't sound like anything from the outside is required to know Him, and indeed that has been my experience.

(OK, I'll fall for the bait!)

Once again were see the extreme "Christian" reaction to the nastiest of all sins, the sin worse than any other. A sin that can contaminate with just a mere glance from the corner of the eye. Adultery, lust, Greed, Blasphemy, Gambling, Drunkenness? We hear nary a peep.

I dont know much about the producer of the film and have only seen a couple of episodes or so. What I do know is that they have made millions aware of Christ, some have even turned to him
Such claims should be examined closely. If it is "Easy Believism" then there would be a problem.

Hollywood has made several sins a movement. Wolf of Wallstreet is a good start. All kinds of perverse things run rampant on tv. The Bachelor? Teen mom, People watch these things and replicate the behavior because it’s trendy and warped to be something funny and Satan smiles because we watch it. Do you watch any tv lately? If not Great! Because this isn’t isolated to LGBTs at the moment. Satan is unleashing all kinds of evil on the world at the moment. LGBT sin happens to the the flavor of perversion that is popular at the moment. Satan doesn’t care how he gets you to sin, but he will find an open window. No matter weather that’s through LGBT sin directly or alternatively through murderous hatred towards those caught up in it. What should a Christian do with the LGTBs? Speak truth in Love. Should we be murdering the misguided with our words? Hate not the man but hate the agenda Satan is pushing through the misguided. shouldn’t the Church organize biblically based resources to address it same as we address any other sin like adultry, lust, greed. Satan plays off both ends of this I’m certain. Not only does he love the perversion but he also loves the murderous Hatred from those opposing those caught in the perversion.

Yes I would agree, I never mentioned anything about hating anyone.

Just making sure we’re clear. There is an undercurrent of Conservative circles that are hating these misguided individuals just for the sake of hating them sadly and they don’t realize it but that hatred plays right into Satans hand

View attachment 251924 Simply do a search for the key words"the Chosen pride flag" and you'll find a whole lot about this.

They have also gone from being privately crowd funded to teaming up with Lionsgate.
Do you honestly think that the gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified, overcoming death, hell and the grave by His blood will ever be rightly portrayed in this production?

I don't.

To those who claim to follow Christ and love this show:
Are you still a fan?
I think it was planted there, the enemy want's us to have doubt and fear, they want to divide and conquer, your going to find a lot of lie's against the body of Christ, we all have to be careful of friendly fire, remember the devil is the father of lie's,

Yes and sometimes truth is regarded as being hateful.

So one needs to be careful casually attributing emotions to people, generally speaking I have yet to meet a Christian who was murdering with their words or hated gay people.

It was not planted it belonged to someone on the set.

OK I just saw the video, explaining, the gay flag, they had a independent contractor on the set, God does not hate gay people, for God so loves the world that he gave his only begotten son, who ever believes in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life, God is holy. He does not like the sin, he loves people,

LOL, this guy's a joke. One thing he makes clear in this video is The Chosen isn't a Christian ministry and he will partner with anyone. If someone from the Church of Satan showed up, he'd hire them too. He didn't say that, but that's his belief and attitude.
This is a fair point.

It's not just about the gay flag. This is about influence, where it comes from and its affects on things of God.

Acts 16:16-18 - Paul and the Slave Girl
16 Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a female slave who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling. 17 She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” 18 She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her.

1) Why do you think Paul was upset?

2) The slave girl is telling all the people around Paul that Paul and his men are servants of the Most High God and are point the way to the Lord to be saved. What is wrong with that?

3) After many days, Paul cast the spirit - who was prompting the girl to say all these things - out of the slave girl. Why did he do that?

4) Do you think he was wrong to do that or not?
