Years ago, I had this convo with my mom:

Me: mom, how would things be if we didn’t have taste buds?
Mom: uff. We would all be skinny.

😂😂😂

Kind of puts a new spin to "I will lead you to a land flowing with milk and honey" (Gen 3:17)... golden honey... 29 chapters later: the golden calf. Were you thinking foreshadowing? :p

Nope not me. I'm starting to get a dad bod and I don't have any kids. I work hard enough so to find time and energy to work out Is slim to none. Like my dad says, if you can work here and go to the gym after........then you ain't working hard enough. This is so true. It is good to try and be healthy but for me working out ain't gonna work out. If someone wants to, more power to them. I get it, I would too if I had the energy. How ever I do enjoy being in the woods. Hiking from time to time or just being outside is good to me. If that counts for anything lol.

Here's a question for the women..... 6pacs or dad bod? If you say 6pac.......you most likely won't find that here lol

As was mine. 😬

Yup.

Whole lotta people out there wondering why they're single like your example of a short, 300 lb man with bad skin, and it's often because they are looking for or will only accept someone with qualities like being thin that they don't qualify for.

They want to be accepted, but often won't accept the qualities they have in others.

And then lament being forever single, because they feel that because God wants the best for them, they deserve a unicorn 🦄 instead of someone like themselves.
Not all men are like that. True values starts from with in. The lord has to be in there 😊

Before I came to Jesus I did yoga, I thought it would help with my balance, health etc. Then I found out that its just worshipping Hindu gods and prepraring the body for death and reincarnation. So I stopped doing those downward dog poses. I dont want to came back as a dog. :p
It doesn't perform as advertised anyway. The people I know who take yoga to help with their stress, they still need to figure out how to relax. :cautious:

I don't know what cartoon character she meant, she didn't say. Most often through the years people have thought I sound like Julia Child. One time in the office I got a call from a lady needing help locating a transaction. I'm getting information from her about the transaction and then she stops and says, "I just gotta say, you sound so familiar me!" So I asked her, "Julia Child?" She exclaimed, "Yes!! That's it! I was just watching her. You sound just like her!"
Of all the people I could sound like, it'd have to be Julia Child lol
Audio clip please. SoundCloud is a good place for posting audio clips. Let's hear your voice so we can decide who you sound like.

Hasn't anyone posted 1 Timothy 4:8-9 yet?

8For physical exercise is of limited value, but godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for the present life and for the one to come.
9This is a trustworthy saying, worthy of full acceptance.

My friend came to me once saying " we should exercise more. How about we start going to the gym? I really need to work on my cardio."

I politely declined saying no thank you.

He kept asking me for a couple days, a couple days turned into weeks, and on the third week he came to me.

"Listen man, I really need to work on my cardio. I want to increase my speed and strengthen my wind".

Without skipping a beat , I walked over to my dog that was inside the house.......
Let's just say word has it, that he increased his speed and strengthened his wind real quick lol.

(This is only a joke)

3 John 1:2

New International Version
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

New Living Translation
Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.

English Standard Version
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.

Berean Standard Bible
Beloved, I pray that in every way you may prosper and enjoy good health, as your soul also prospers.

Berean Literal Bible
Beloved, I pray you to prosper concerning all things and to be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

King James Bible
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

New King James Version
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

New American Standard Bible
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

The reasons for all the different versions of this one verse is because I wanted you to see the common thread the word HEALTH.
Life is about balance....as a worship leader I can tell you that if I am unfit leading people in worship can get very tasking. In fact it was One sunday morning while I was leading worship I became breathless. I realised right then and there I needed to get some exercise in. I am a healthy eater, had no choice but to be after I had a near stroke, but you know what? I still needed to move my body in the form of what? EXERCISE....If you don't feel so inclined to exercise "nuff" respect to you, but to use the scriptures to validate your decision is misleading. My body is the temple of the HOLY GHOST, and GOD will not be pleased with me if I mistreat it.
Exercising physically alone and not spiritually is wrong thus the scripture you made reference to. I thank GOD as a christian I can do BOTH and praise GOD I can now lead people in worship and not be out of breath. Life is about balance.
