I'am a certified reflexologist now for about a year. I'm amazed of this remedy that relieve's pain, stress, symptoms from diseases such as thyroid, diabetes, heart, and kidneys! Not only is reflexology effective, but you can do it yourself, even though it feels better when a professional does it!! And it's just a beyond euphoric feeling after a session. Some of my clients have felt substantial difference from pain they either had on their back or head, and one of clients had improvement with kidney failure and symptoms relieved from thyroid! They even fell asleep on me! LOL...The point of this thread is for people to share home remedies and/or natural healing remedies from head to toe ad especially if you practice holistic or even a doctor! Please include home remdies for colds considering change of season is on the way. Have fun with this thread. Post pictures of before and after if possible or directions! Also share arts and crafts ideas you can do at home dealing from clothing to home decor especially for those on budgets!

Tumeric helps fight cancer. If anyone doesn't believe me, listen to what the American Cancer Society says about it:

American Cancer Society - Turmeric

Take tumeric pills daily. About 500mg. They even sell them at walmart.

I knew this a couple years before the American Cancer Society admitted it because I heard a doctor talking about it in an interview.

By the way, I have heard great things about relfexology too!

Thankyou for that advice.
I just had cancer and surgery recently so that suits well as information.........
I have turmenric in my chicken soup that is gorgeous.I also posted recipe for it in recipe threads.......

Ginger is good for a lota thingz as is garlic but I had severe stomach pains at work once so thought had to go home couldnt walk hardly then I had some bundaberg gingerbeer and voila it was better.Bundaberg contains real ginger in it as the other brands dont all have this.

I would love to try reflexology also.
Cant really afford such thingz at moment but would like to specially after cancer but have horse and one can treat oneself for xmas and birthday perhaps.(make sure go to professionals who give care and not noncare treatment) (difference is as is)

I crewchette at home.
I dont know how to follow all (most ) patterns but I make silly hats and have just started on a blancet.
One just needs to know the basic one stitch to do this and yarn can be bought cheap at second hand shop or big retail stores.
Important encourage and not downing though if wanting inspire someone to start such things.
Had a female who gives out hati energies to me lay out in downi way to make herself feel and look good.We are diffferent. She is in denial. My strenths are of other kind and she does not know me or them nor can she appreciate the gifts I have to give cause she to busy hatin and comparng to down me....

The classic for colds is lemonjuice, honey and hot water as a tea.
Along with vicks vaporub and some chicken soup (check out recipe under recipes)

Water and swimming can be very good for depression I think (or maybe thats me the water lover ..)

tomatoes and broccoli are good for cancer also.

One can put ons feet in plasticbags after covering with loads of moisturiser and then socks and sleep and ones feet are said to be very sofft when awaken.

Beer and egg is good to have in the hair for a while.

Sage is said to have incredible healing qualities for everything really and burnt sage is said to clear bad energies in home and freshen the place

Blueberries are good at preventing prostate cancer (My Father eats a packet a week as investment)

Cucumbers or iced teabags of herbal tea can be placed on tired eyelids to sooth them

To give yourself a manicare soak put some milkpowder in a bowl of warm water.Milkpowder is pretty cheap and softens the hands.

Theres heaps of remedies have a remedy book here somewhere.
If i find it I will post some more remedies.
:)

I hate to be the person who preaches... but reflexology is a new age practice and a sin against God... :/ I have information somewhere about it if you want it, but I assure you that it is. It's one of those things that is taken lightly as being "no big deal", but, it is.

ummm actually reflexology has been used since the time of Christ, and it is a healing remedy. Even Mary Magdeline washed the Lord god's feet and annointed His feet with oil and used her hair to dry His feet, so personally, I don't think reflexology is a sin against God AT ALL. The feet tell alot of problems with in the body, and doctors don't want that information of the benefits of reflexology out there because they need to keep people doped up and need that money! Reflexology is very effective and safe and has NO sinful nature to it at all. Man will say anything that's good is bad just like they prefer darkness over light!

Sadly that's not the case. Like I said I really do hate to be the person who preaches, because I feel like im just annoying you, but if I didn't speak maybe God would hold me accountable. Mary Magdelene washing the Lords feet wasn't reflexology. It was just washing his feet. Whole different thing. I have a piece of information on it, it's about 12 pages long in a Microsoft Word document, that I can email you if you want. I could copy and paste the text here, but there are some images and diagrams in it too. It would be better perhaps to inform yourself more about, just so you can make an informed decision. :)

First of all I'm not annoyed, sry you got that impression, and I'm starting to think possibly that's the reaction your expecting. Secondly, I psted this thread for those interested in sharing home remedies for the body pertaining to health as A WHOLE! Not for anyone to say ohh that remedy is bad and against God, because unless God told you that directly or is expressed in the BLOOD and/or word, then to me, your wrong. Feeting washing and ointment is also procedure with the end of a reflexology session. I do not deny the Lord God nor the Word when I studied reflexology or perform it on others. I also do not follow other traditions of energy or Hindu. My instructor is a God fearing and Godly man. I feel because you ave posted this, your luring people to believe now that reflexology is bad, and it TRULY isn't it's how you use it. Just like a guitar. A guitar can be declared as sin if an offensive song is played on it to the Lord God or causes perversion. It's how a person uses the blessing of natural healing. People are to interested in hating rather then healing, and that's sad. They follow false doctrines about something good to help other and thus destroy the devine good purpose of that remedy....sad sad world. And if you hate being the preacher, which your not, because you didn't write about reflexology being bad, you found out through a mans research; so why criticise reflexology based on what someone else said. It's like listening to gossip about someone else and you go spreading it, and come to find out it wasn't true, and then find out the real deal, and your end result feeling is abasement and shame.

Well I saw the thread title and felt I couldn't say nothing. How many things are there that are sinful and against God that aren't mentioned in the bible specifically? Lots. God doesn't have appear to me and tell me that something is wrong if the evidence is there to show that it clearly is. It's not my personal opinion. If I said pornography is wrong, it wouldn't be something I said out of thin air, it would be based on looking at what pornography is, taking the facts, looking at what aspects of it were sinful, and coming to the conclusion that it is sinful. The same with anything, and with reflexology. For example my mum was a yoga teacher for many years. She loved Jesus, and didn't know there was any harm in yoga. But, there was and is, and when she learned the facts about it, she realised this. I didn't come here to attack you, I never would, but only to share my knowledge that it is in fact sinful. It is a new age practice, but as with many new age practices, it's taken very lightly. That's all I'll say, but if you want the evidence, it's out there.

Reflexology, or zone therapy, is an alternative medicine involving the physical act of applying pressure to the feet, hands, or ears with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on what reflexologists claim to be a system of zones and reflex areas that they say reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body

Clearly...this sounds evil, i mean someone would be touching you...oh the lust...lol

OK, so another natural remedy is fish oil. It contains omega-3 fatty acids that lower cholesterol and help prevent heart disease. Take 1000mg a day. There is concern about some brands containing mercury, so look for the words USP Certified on the label. USP is an independent lab that tests ingredients in all pharmaceuticals (and some supplements) in the US for purity and accuracy.

I have a Book I would like to share; Prescription For Nutritional Healing. It is my go to book, every time we are sick. ( If it does not help, then I have my go to the Doctor of my choice too.)

Ezekiel 47:12 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing."
Ezekiel 4:9 Take wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and spelt; put them in a storage jar and use them to make bread for yourself.

(quote) If this is evil, then all types of therapeutic massages should be evil too.

I think it is about who massages or touches you and how and their intent.

There are good massage therapist etc but there are a few unprofessional ones also who actually do damage.
I went to a massage where I felt sooo violated after and damaged. The way I was touched and treated felt hateful and they looked down at me and asked if I on drugs and it was a horrible experience. It was supposed to be a birthday present but was worst birthday present I ver been given.
If someone payed me to get that massage and treatment I would say no immediately thats how bad they made me feel.

Had a male therapist try and "feel me up" also.I was naked and only towel covered bottom and his hands slid their way ööhm up under the towel.
I felt pretty uncomfterble.
Then he tried sexing me.
I stopped then but b4 that happened he was really good at massaging.
Its just that it was uncomfterble.
I moved my body so he could not access "there" and said no embaressed.

They say manicare treatment well could say mani non care treatment..

Most therapists are good and some are brilliant and actually do heal you and make you feel good.

Would love to try reflexology.
My Mother said it helped her from getting urinary infections and felt really nice.

Thats horrible, Victoria. Did you report him to the police? If that happened here that person would be arrested and put in jail. So sorry it was supposed to be your b-day present too. :(

No, i didnt.

Was two separate occasions.

The birthday present was in broadbeach australia and several woman.Just the "output" energies they gave out and way they treated and massaged etc.Was young females and did not seem very humble or "down to earth" or talk TO you but at you or down to you. They were young...still...was not a nice eperience. My body felt like a twisty after and bä.

The incident with the man was another occasion.

If i have been to at least ten different massage therapists this was the only unpleasantry.

It was a full body massage including buttocks but definately not inside or such. And there was a towel there...
I just repositioned myself repeatedly so I could not be touched there and felt uncomfterble.
I did not report it but did not go back.
It was a good price and I had been there 3 times b4 and it included foot package where ones feet got put in a plastic bag filled with herbs and oils and heat and stuff.
was a really good massage and good price such a shame that happened.

Its nice to do something like that at least once a yr so a birthday present is nice.Just make sure its someone good.Although how does one know till one has tried who is good for you.

They say if you are feeling restless, in dis ease, stressed, unsettled etc that eating home made bread or porridge made on stove and "feel good" comfort food couple hours b4 bed will help ease to sleep.
Milk with honey heated is also said to be good and they say honey is the purest thing we can eat or is very good for us and sweet and nice also.
Honey can be put on saws as it helps heal if you have nothing else around.
honey is good put on chacked lips also.

Well I only compress feet and occasionally the hands and ears. Upon doing so I treat my clients with respect and with a good conscious. My devotion is to relieve their stress and make them feel comfortable and refreshed, not violated or molested. I strictly provide service for the feet and or hands only. I myself do not feel comfortable touching anywhere else on a persons body. I've had a couple positive feedback's from clients and exceptionally grateful for this approach to better health and comfort. That is reflexology to me aside of all the negative opinions in society of it. Which is typical for anything that is good in the world. Good healthy thoughts to you all!

Reflexology is the art of massaging the specific nerve endings in the feet (or hands) and has amazing results. All nerves are connected to the organs and massaging those nerve endings can result in the troubled organs to function as intended. Nothing new age about it.

What is your opinion of juice fasting, particularly combined with epsom salt (or other mineral
or essential oil) baths/foot-baths? Any opinion on aroma therapy and stress reduction
techniques (prayer, meditation, music, stretching, etc.)?

I have that book and recommend it also. As with most health issues -- an ounce of
PREVENTION is worth a pound of CURE. The key is lifestyle and diet and environment
(spiritual as well as physical). One key thing to recommend about the book -- don't just
buy it -- USE IT!! It also makes a nice gift for someone you care about (add a small basket
of herbs or spices to make it even nicer, particularly if you get a good deal on the book).
There are versions available for sale online for under $10 with used ones under $2 - a
great buy (see link below). Most herbal remedies and such are better as preventatives
than curatives, though they work for that too. Always consult a medical professional
particularly if you have pre-existing conditions.

Written by a medical doctor and a certified nutritional consultant, this comprehensive
guide to nutritional, herbal, and complementary therapies discusses natural healing
programs for some 300 health conditions. Arranged in alphabetical order, it's a useful
ready-reference tool.

This edition has been expanded to reflect the latest research on drug-free remedies in
the field of nutrition: as such it provides an excellent assessment and review of herbal
tinctures and diets. From high blood pressure remedies to handling infections, this is
packed with practical advice. --

I know it, and many others may also - by the name "Accu-Pressure". Is Reflexology the same?
