The purpose was to "show" that each...first to the jews ... then the samarians(1/2 jews)...and 3 then the gentiles
had received the word of God.
This was not a method, or a teaching of a doctrine. This was unique at the very beginning of the church.

the big burning guy is an ancient pagan tradition that dates back to the fertility rituals that used to be practiced in Wales and other parts of the world. Research GREEN MAN. I did. And Burning man has NOTHING to do with 'Green Man." Did you even bother to research Burning man history to see HOW it got started and what the 'man' represents. I know you haven't or you would not have attempted to connect the two.
I have no problem with you ministering to the lost here. My question is are you teaching the Gospel or another doctrine? ARE YOU SERIOUS?? We teach Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Him hung on the cross, died, risen and ascended. Your arrogance in even asking that question speaks volumes.
Do your thing, God will take care of it. If it is good it will stand, if it is not I pray He reveals it to you before unrevocable harm is done. We do NO harm. God IS with us in this endeavor in every way possible. We had so many prayers answered concerning this even that they are uncountable.

Hey Maggie, its great to hear you preached Christ and Him crucified. Dont be offended if people dont
know something until they hear it from you. I usually wait or ask. We really dont know each other much
on these forums.
Also it would help if you answered or discussed with people individually, not randomly bunching
people unnamed in one post.

I picked other because I disagree with alot they are saying in deliverance ministries but I agree with some things. We shouldn't be involved with witchcraft or anything like it. I believe it's good to have people who teach against witchcraft and demonic music. At the same time I don't believe Christians can be possessed in any way in the Body, Soul, or Spirit. I believe it is impossible for a Christian to need demons cast out. At the same time I believe that there are possessed people in the World. They are probably not likely to show up at a deliverance ministry, but it is good to teach against witchcraft and satanic matterial.

But still to think we administer, or save, or impart, is totally wrong. We DO adminster and we DO impart (Christ within us, remember!) but WE do NOT SAVE. JESUS is the ONLY Mediator, the only Savior and the only One ABLE to save anyone.

that believers can be possessed by demons, but think about it. They never gave you scripture on it did they?
Nope thats because the bible teaches differently. It teaches the opposite. "Who the Son set free is free indeed" John 8:36

the Father wants us to do, or has desired. Jesus never did His own will. Neither do we.

are false, and worst yet, a danger to the mental and emotional health of believers.
To say that demons inhabit the flesh as a means to understand how a believer can be possessed is well...silly.
Would possessed people come to a deliverance meeting knowing the ones running it were deceived, to disrupt it?...probably would be fun for them. Many people are damaged in these ministries, so yes they would.
But would a possessed unbeliever go into an atmosphere where a believer had the right understanding.....

That is the way it will also be with this evil generation.” To do deliverance in a person that does not believe is to leave that person in worse condition than before deliverance. The Holy Spirit resides in the spiritual HEART of a person, while demons take residence in the FLESH.

But not every person that becomes saved APPROPRIATES the Cross and the Blood and so remain SAVED, but not free. It is by the appropriation of the blood and cross that a person becomes free and then, yes, they remain free.

Well if you are a DOer of the Word and you DO what Jesus tells US to do...lay hands on the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead, etc, then, yes, it IS true. To do the word is to BE the CONQUERER that He created us to be. They are not false, but unfamiliar. Those not trained in Biblical spiritual warfare always cry "false! Pagan!" and they don't have a bloody clue what they are talking about and have not read the books to even know what is in them.

Most truly possessed people do NOT come to meetings because they are either in jail, a mental institution or strung out on drugs somewhere. Demonically OPpressed people do come to meetings for the purpose of interferring with what the Holy Spirit wants to do at the meeting. They are called "plants" or 'distractors' as they take the focus off of the Lord and have it on themselves...causing a ruckus and delaying the meeting. ....probably would be fun for them. Truly!! They DO consider their evil to be 'fun'. Many people are damaged in these ministries, so yes they would. Thousands are set free in the meetings that do it in order and with love and in the name of Jesus Christ. Again...your ignorance of the subject is showing. I will give you this...Bob Larson should be taken off the air. He is a detriment to the Body of Christ in that he makes deliverance a 'show' rather than a ministry of love. His behavior toward those that have come to him for help is absolutely appalling.

*POssession means the demons are in complete control because the person has given them permission. POssession is OWNERSHIP. Very rare in the U.S.
OPpression means the the person is INFLUENCED BY, but NOT OWNED, by the demons.

"The real potential for problems in the Christian life is blaming things on the demonic and neglecting normal Christian growth and maturity.
