Should have known you all would find a way to derail the thread. :p

To answer my own question, I'm probably most like Iron Man (independent, argumentative, sarcastic) though I would like to be more like Captain America and thus act more like him.

The ladies find Thor attractive.

It isn't just Chris Hemsworth's body. They guy is your typical knight in shining armor by the end of the movie. He also has his own kingdom).

Don't make me choose! what if I pick the wrong one and then I have to spend the rest of my life......not dating him?

Being serious now, I'm torn between Capt. America and Ironman.
I like Capt. America because he is a gentleman, and a man who values morality and some traditional ideals (and he is cute, well at least in the movie :) ) but I like Ironman because of his humor, intelligence and the fact that he is ''normal''.
No Kayem, I did not say what I just said to make you happy. :p

I think I identify most with Thor; his courtesy and respect for women, his laid back personality, etc. seems to be most like myself. Captain America would be a a close second to Thor. Bruce Banner/Hulk has never been one of my favorite superheroes, though he does have quite the superpower. Tony Stark now, I love his Iron Man suit, but I can't say I'm much like his carefree, playboy self.

Since I don't really know much about the Avengers, and only what I read of the blip on IMdB, going to have to say Hawkeye. First, he's an archer, and I love arrows. Second, he has the same name as my favorite TV doctor.

Okay ladies, I took a girl out to see the Avengers with me the other day. She's a huge Captain America fan as am I, and on our way to dinner we discussed the movie (of course). This generated my idea for this thread.

Ladies, if you had to choose an Avenger crash through your ceiling and offer to take you out for some Thai noodles, who would it be and why?

Gentlemen: Which Avenger do you think you are most like? Which Avenger would you want to be? Which Avenger do you really think the women find most attractive?

Okay guys, go at it. Most of my threads are flops, we'll see how this one goes.
Wait a minute, this is a totally sexist thread. Why do the ladies get to choose which Avenger they'd like to take on a date but not the guys?

Ok, ok, is it because only one of the Avengers is female? You might say that's not much of a choice.

But let's be realistic here. Do you really need a choice when your first option is the Black Widow?

Didn't think so.

While Scarlett Johanson maybe not be a perfect ten in my book, you'd never hear me complain. :)

As a teen I could really relate to the Hulk, I had some serious anger issues back in the day. Then, as I approached my 20's, I discovered booze and the beast within became a flamboyant party animal. So I could definitely relate to Tony Stark at that time in my life. Although, I did have hair like Thor back then although a couple shades darker... :D

However, at this stage in my life, I would say I can relate more to Captain America - desiring to stand up for what is right and just in a world that is seemingly headed for hell.

Although, I must admit that my favorite Avenger is also my favorite X-Men. Those who actually know me can easily figure out why!

I saw The Avengers the other day and loved it!

And even though a lot of girls have already said, I too would pick Captain Steve Rogers (America), the line that made me swoon was "There is only one God - and he does not dress like that.."

And if I had a male version for myself Id say I was more like Tony Stark - the comedic relief, and overly cocky at times

I'll admit to not following the comics, but I like to think that Tony's carefree, playboy lifestyle is just a mask; think Batman Returns. :) Plus, people can grow and improve their character, maybe He just needs to be introduced to Jesus, eh?

That is part of what made the Avengers such an awesome movie: all the characters grew...with the possible exception of Thor who remained every bit as god-like. I mean, how could you improve on him at the end of Thor without a story that presents a gigantic threat to Asgard?

Yeah, the fact we men only have Black Widow is a bit of a drag, but she's still pretty awesome.

I've had this pic as my avatar some time ago and it doesn't matter to me if he's an Avenger or not, this is the guy I'd most want to be like.

He was pushed around and bullied as a kid and now that he has superhuman powers, he doesn't let it go to his head. He still remembers what it means to be human.
