Luke 12:29 - 34 And Jesus said,, "And dont be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don't worry about such things, these things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God first above all else and he will give you everything you need. So don't be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven! And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes! Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it. Wherever your treasure is, there the desire of your heart is also be.
Hmm.. Does this sound like the desire of a man who was out to please himself as to be joined to another for when married the two shall be joined as one...
Luke 12:48 But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
Jesus certainly was entrusted with the whole world wasn't he... I think a lot was required out of Him to make sure that His attention and focus would never get distracted from His goal... In fact, Satan came as this distraction, and if Jesus turned him down, dont you think he would have been smart enough to turn down the same about getting married too?
Luke 12:51 Do you think i have come to bring peace to the earth? No, i have come to divide people against each other. From now on families will be split apart, three in favor of me, and two against - or two in favor and three against.
Do these words sound like the words from a man who thinks mainly and solely of of himself? Who places himself first among the people? For when a person is married, they must give up of themselves and place the other persons desires and love for the other to supersede their own. This is what true love is as it is perfect love. We all know God loves perfectly and if Jesus Is God in the flesh, and if he were married, then his marriage would of been the prime example of what the best marriage would be for any of us, and i am certain, the disciples would not have mistakenly given omitted to us this important detail so we could cherish, learn and commit too.
Now i am not saying that anyone who is married only thinks of them-selves and they do not follow God. But scripture says that we have to have our feet firmly planted on the foundation in order to succeed. Anyone who is in ministry knows, its not easy work. And Jesus was perfect. He never sinned. Saying that, and knowing what we know about what it takes to be a perfect husband, how perfect would it be to go off for weeks, months or longer at a time, without word or knowledge to your spouse, or even the thought to mention her in journals to friends about his adventures or happenings? There is no mentions of this at all. Now as a wife, and a woman, i can tell you most of us, would not be pleased with this ordeal, ministry or not. So was this purposely kept hidden, like a conspiracy as some are suspecting? I should say not! For Gods word also says 2 Cor 6:14 How can light live with darkness? So if Jesus, who is the Light of the world that radiates light, which is all that is good and open, keep anything that is dark or hidden within it that is on purpose to deceive us? It cant!
God's Word was carefully selected and written but God Himself and penned threw men that God chose capable to do this job. It says in Revelations 22:17-19
The Spirit and the bride say `Come.`Let anyone who hears this say, `Come.` And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophesy written in this book: if anyone adds to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person`s share in the tree of life and i the holy site that are described in this book.
Just know that our God is a committed and faithful God who is committed to us and His Father in Heaven. He is not doubly minded and when He came here to do His job, He was able to focus and do it well and do it completely as he said on the cross, It is finished. He is committed to all of us, not just one wife for a short while that he was on earth, that he was only able to be a partly husband to and as a half way job. Just look at gods creations, God never did anything imperfect.. All was magnificent! And since we are promised to be His bride in heaven, not just one or two of us, but all of us, doesn't that show us something? For what does God say about remarrying? This should be another example... And just in case your wondering, this marriage has nothing to do with a man and a woman, but only LOVE, Commitment, Faithfulness, Righteousness and Inheritance.
1 Cor 13: 4-7 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice whenever the truth wins out. Love never give up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Ephesians 5:25 For husbands this means to love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up His life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of Gods word. Notice how it doesn't tell us husbands to love as Christ loved his wife? I wonder if this is because he didn't have one knowing it does not mention in scripture about the King of the world with a queen perhaps...for when taking the scripture into account, we have to think it all thoroughly through..
For me, its like this, if i assume Jesus was married, then i am guessing, as it does not state this in the scriptures and i am adding to the book and doing exactly what it tells me NOT to do. I have to go with what i Do know and trust in it completely or not. Its just that simple. Either i take ALL as Gods Word, or None. For if even one small segment is questioned in my viewpoint, then i am entitling myself permission to be holy ghost Jr to be smart enough based on my own small mindedness to judge which of gods word is correct and what is not. And quite frankly, i am no way in any shape or form in able to be up this magnitude of a job. In fact, i don't believe anyone on the face of the earth is, but God Himself, as He alone wrote the scriptures as this is a matter of faith, and trust alone.
Either i trust Him or I don't. I guess I'm way too simple for many folk and i guess its true, but i don't know how else to do it. So, even if all the scientist tried to show me proof of what ever they wanted to disproof what ever they wanted of the bible, I have to rely on Gods word. For if i gave in for this one thing today, what would i give it too tomorrow?
I made my choice a long time ago and this is where i stand. Not going back not now, or ever. Hes been with me too long and brought me through too much for that to ever happen.
Focus on the Word and remain in the light and what isn't of the Word,, let it fall where it may.... like the grains of seeds that fell on soiled ground will rot away...
