I love it when my son finds something we had around when I was a kid and asks me what in the world it is. :) I thought it might be fun for some of us older folks to post pics of things and let the younger ones guess what they are (without googling and cheating :) ). Here are some of mine:

Not sure about the first one...the second is a Polaroid picture, the third is a lawn mower, the last is what I have to assume to be an 8-tack player/stereo...

The yellow thingy is a insert for a 45 LP record so that it can play on a standard record player. I know my electronics:p

Even if it's not something old, feel free to post a pic of something unusual so we can guess what it is. :)

Speaking of old stuff, I want an LP player.... I just have to wait until I stop moving to a new place every two years or so :p ... and to learn how to use it so I don't just ruin it.

When my very older stepbrother passed away a couple of years ago he left behind an entire walk-in closet full of albums, mostly 70s stuff I heard him playing growing up. His wonderful wife let me take the ones I wanted. I definitely need to find something to play them on. :) I've been thinking about making an entirely retro media room to hang out in. How cool would it be to have one of these in there?

Know what this is? Men use these back in the old days when life was simpler on their womenz to keep them in line.

I saw pictures of a walk-man (cassette tapes), followed by a Jukebox somewhere below, and then a double handed clamp-wrench?? Anyway...

#18 is a Betamax tape, and #19 is an Atari player, right?

Can anyone recognize these?
