Ingredients

  • 3 cups of chocolate chips
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • Vanilla/Nuts (of any choice)

Instructions

  1. In a microwave safe bowl add 3 cups of chocolate chips and 1 can of sweetened condensed milk.
  2. Heat for 1.5 min.
  3. Stir
  4. Once smooth add 2 tsp vanilla. (or nuts)
  5. Line a small cake pan (8 x 8) w foil
  6. Pour fudge and chill till set

(Referenced from the internet)

Chef's notes:

I did not add butter and I used dark chocolate instead of semi sweet chocolate chips.

Basically I used around 90 g of dark chocolate and 1 can of condensed milk and microwaved it for 2 mins (This depends on the wattage of your microwave)

I also added in some crushed hazelnuts.

It's amazing and delicious. It's a easy to prepare quick desert. Pop it in the freezer for quicker results. Also, I think it would have set faster if I did not keep taking it out to eat a spoonful :D

Also don't use cooking chocolate. Apparently it doesn't set well.

I would love to make this good easy and simple for our Family Easter get together. (Between 50 and 100 people) is it possible or it wishful thinking? Lol

Hi. I think it is very possible.

Just make 4/5 batches (and even more depending on the people coming), 2 days before the party :)

Also, I have to emphasize that do use good quality chocolate and use a large proportion for it...otherwise the fudge ends up being too soft.
The more chocolate, the more firm it is. [ so 14 ounces of chocolate for 14 ounces of condensed milk. I've even seen recipes where people add butter and brown sugar too...]

A good idea is to practice making a batch way in advance so you understand the portion sizes and what suits you best.

Go funky with it - add white chocolate instead of brown and add cotton candy flavouring for extra pizzazz :D

PS - I found this video I referenced the first time.

He uses

220g Milk Chocolate
1 1/2 cups sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup walnuts (crumbed)
