Preparation: 15 min. Cook: 1 hour. Ready in 1h15min

Ingredients (Original recipe makes 6 servings)

8 passion fruits
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups cream

Directions

- Break passion fruits in half, and empty contents into a bowl. Use a little water to help rinse the juice out of the skins. Mix with hands to soften pulp. Strain through a sieve or cheesecloth. Stir in sugar and sweetened condensed milk.

- In a chilled bowl, beat cream until stiff peaks form. Fold 1/3 of the cream into the passion fruit mixture, then quickly fold in remaining cream until no streaks remain. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

Definitely not poison, we would be all dead, I love this fruit since I was little... the only strange thing I think is the difference of the fruit here and in other countries...

Had the fruit made into juice as kids. It sure looks heavenly, but do you know, many dairy products easily available or even taken for granted are still so expensive as they are mostly imported, although we have newer dairy farms now., Still, cream, yogurts, fresh milk, many cheeses etc. we cannot use everyday as we want to! Unless u make yogurt, for example, but those cream cheese for many recipes we normally make for special occasions like the holidays and special events-- or i suppose most lower to middle class even. We have local cheeses so mild in flavor but favored by the kids here, as they dont appreciate mozarella when this is available naman. And thats why we tend to make those with coconut milk when available like the maja blanca i thought to put a link to a recipe sometime. But have to go now.

whatever that is, you would need to eat quite a few passion fruits to get the lethal dose.. almonds have cyanide in them, and people eat those all the time..

Blue_Ladybug, I eat raw almonds a lot and drink almond milk sometimes. Are there health risks eating almonds on a regular basis?

violet, click on the link below. It's from livestrong.com and will answer your question. Bitter wild almonds contain significant levels of cyanide and it only takes eating/ drinking 15 of them to get a lethal dose. Bitter wild almonds is only available as an oil though. What you're eating is most likely the normal kind of almonds..

Try a spoonful with almonds. It takes the edge off the cyanide. It's a more healthy alternative to passion fruit which is toxic.
