Willie!! You are six feet five inches!? I always wanted to be 6'4". God made me 5'11".

Yeah, I don't hit ANY of those weight parameters.
Used to be 6' 6", and I have weighed 251. I weigh 225 now..... WAY overweight, and my doctor stays on me all the time about it.

The sad part for almost all of us is that no matter WHICH number we grasp at... even the fattest one, we are still almost all way over the mark.

I can understand no gluten. And I agree, 100% with no sugar or dairy. But, what is with no wheat?
Gluten is a protein found in wheat. If you go gluten free, you go wheat free. Plus, see my original comments on American grain quality.

We can talk all the garbage we want, but most of us know what is the REAL cause of most of our physical problems.

Here is a calculator that will show you Step #1 to be taking. I doubt there are many of us who even come close to meeting this basic necessity.

Ideal Weight Calculator

I read about a family that had eaten nothing but beef for years. The husband was 57 and looked 37 and the wife was 43 and looked 23.

A diet of nothing but beef....blech!

Doesn't take muscle mass into account. If I followed the recommendations at that calculator, not only would I be skinny, but I'd look skinny. Sickly skinny. No thanks. I'll keep my muscle mass and damn what the number on the scale says.

Yes, I have admitted in the past I am about 50# overweight and have a pot belly. I'm working on it. Only so many hours in the day though, and a gym membership doesn't fit in that schedule unless I want to forego sleep altogether. I only get about 4 hours a night as it is.

Also, I have heard some people try to link paleo to evolutionary ideals, but you have to look at the big picture; it's a healthy way of eating, not a faith or religion. Adam may have been a farmer, but I'm going to guarantee that he wasn't using roundup or glyphosphates, which are two carcinogenic chemicals sprayed on our grains today. It's not a problem with grains in and of themselves, it's the quality of 90% of the grains in America.
It's not about people linking the paleo diet to evolutionary ideals. That's truth. It's reality. Whether or not people treat the paleo diet as a faith or religion, that's another thing altogether. Obviously, you just do it to be healthy. There's no maybe about Adam being a farmer, the Bible says as much. As for the chemicals sprayed on grain, yes, that's an issue.

I actually don't like sugar and think that wheat tastes like bleach! You just have to stick with it.
Our bodies are the temple of God; the Bible instructs us to take care of them. We were made to eat fruit, meat, veggies, and nuts.

Take out the meat and that'd be perfect. I agree and live by that philosophy, if only the rest of the world did too. Keep it up.

I would settle for 5ft 7, im 5 ft 4. I realized just how short I am when now that my 11 year old son is just an inch shorter then me.
