oh the shame of it all! and yes Laurn, you should apologize, lol

i'll be 70 my next birthday and haven't had a cavity since the 70's -
I've got 12 of my own teeth left, along with two partials, I just don's want to let
go of the 12, and absolutely would have eaten most of what's in the picture a LONG TIME AGO,
but to all of you up=coming tooth-loosers, STAND-BACK-SHOW YOUR METAl, DON'T
take Lauren's bait, she obviously still has most of her REAL TEETH...

Haha. Drink some milk or have a piece of cheese right after to neutralize the sugar and pH in your saliva. The good news is that it is frequency of sugar intake (it's far worse to have small amounts throughout the day than one large amount once) and not amount of sugar that really affects the enamel. So, your teeth don't care if you have one piece of Lauren's delicious tart or the whole pie in one sitting If you brush with fluoridated toothpaste shortly after having a piece you should be able to protect the enamel. I am a hygienist but I still eat my sweets

Sounds like you needed all your fillings before fluoridated water and regular checkups were standard. If your last cavity was in the 70's, I think you are doing something right
