Hi guys,

I got this recipe from Allrecipes. It has close to 2000 reviews.

I wanted a recipe without the Karo. I make it that way every year. This year I decided to look for a recipe for pecan pie without it and this one looks like it will work. It has so many positive reviews.

I thought I'd post it in case anyone else might be interested. I can't give a personal review until after I've made it though. :)

This sounds like a great recipe! I've used many recipes from this site, and I haven't been disappointed yet.
A word of caution though, if you're mixing melted butter with beaten eggs, make sure the butter is cooled slightly or tempered somehow, so you won't cook the eggs with the hot butter. I made this mistake once making brownies from scratch. Hehee mama thought I put nuts in the brownies lol

LOVE pecan pie! But now use only gluten free products and will sub honey for white sugar. Still, great stuff. :)

hey, sugar is sugar, it is all transformed to the same substance in your body :p

Never tried corn syrup though. Is it any different from other syrups?

Yes, I made it and it was delicious! I also have a pecan bar recipe that I made and hubby liked them just as much as the pie. I can post it too if you'd like.

Yeah, they have a nice sweet meat! We have lots of pecan growers around here so we can get them right off the trees. :)
