Hi guys.. I am trying to adapt new healthy eating habits and I came across veganism.. I've tried a couple of recipes here and there and it feels great to eat that way but I have found it difficult at times to stick with it because as a Latina there is always meat and tortillas around :-(. It's so hard not to crave it. Any tips? I would greatly appreciate it
You're like me. I've always struggle with food that are bad for me (what person haven't that lived on this earth that wasn't Jesus.)

I was a Vegetarian for a while, then Vegan, and then my goal is to become a Raw Foodist. Which currently is what I do, I eat whole foods to gain the full nutrients and benefits of what I eat. In 2 months of Raw Whole Foods, I feel alive.

But just like you my friend, I still struggle with meat (sadly.) What I do find that is very helpful for me to keep in this life style and not to look back is to have a friend who is doing what I'm doing. Not only is he a Vegetarian, he's a good brother in the faith of Christ Jesus. Iron sharpens iron as the Bible stated.

Choosing to become Vegan is only easy if God is with you. So pray and ask for God to be on this thing for your life (If he is for it.) And pray that God provide a long life friend who will sharpen you along your journey.

Love Seth.

it can only be a good thing if we eat the 'meats' that Jesus instructed us to, of course,
in their truest form for today...only buy organic and anti-biotic, or added hormone free,..

(pork should definitely NOT be on the menu.)

Young lady I would like to add some more to what has already been said which has been excellent advice. After I lost my first wife after 30 years of marriage, her and I both were heavy meat eaters I was for 57 years... I met another Christian lady who was Vegetarian and we tied the knot and I knew she was I courted her before we said I do... So I knew what was getting into... My family and friends warned me that I would have to give up meat and slowly weaned myself away from it... It wasn't easy but I never ate meat in her presence... I prayed to the Lord that he would take this desire from me and he did... She and I are now Vegetarian but not Vegan... She could not be a Vegan she loves her eggs and Dairy too much... So after 13 years being married to her I am still Vegetarian... There are a lot of meat substitutes available and you can find them in your grocery store and I had plenty of them and they are good... I believe and if I am wrong forgive me you stated your are Latino?... If so there are plenty of meat substitutes from Morning Star Farms and others... I am now 71 would I be alive now if I didn't meet my Vegetarian wife?... Only God knows... But I know this I'm healthier now and salad is my friend:)... K. James
