Warning: Rubber gloves recommended for preparation!!!

Ingredients:
1-Couple dozen fresh jalapenos.
2-Package Li'l Smokies.
3-Package of cream cheese, softened.
4-One of two cups grated cheddar and/or jack cheese.
5-One or two fresh serranos, washed and minced.
6-Two or three cloves fresh minced garlic.
7-Pound of bacon, fried and crumbled.

Cut jalapenos in half, gently remove seed and pith, wash and set aside.
For extra heat, save some or all of pith, mince and add to cheese filling.
Fold ingredients 3 through 7 together, respectively, in a mixing bowl.
Spoon cheese filling onto jalapeno halves and top with a Li'l Smoky.

Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 or throw 'em on the grill in your
greased dutch oven just long enough to melt the cheeses together good.
The longer you cook 'em, the softer the pepper becomes.
I like mine on the crunchy side.

Enjoy with ice cold beer or soda.
Keep fire extinguisher and napkins handy.
Happy Fourth of July!!!

...why does everything that sounds really good to eat have to be something a fat little bugger like me can't eat? No fair...

I'm growing jalapeños in my garden this year, and whether I ought to eat them or not, I'm totally going to make these and eat them.

Made a batch yesterday.
Here they are as I was putting the first run on the grill.
I'm always tweaking food recipes, and something I
did was to brush on some BBQ after I took this pic.
These things were good, and even the kids were eating them.

Not a spicy food person myself. If I want something spicy I just call my girlfriend. She's Puerto Rican ;)
