Okay so I've been thinking that I need to eat according the the Old Testament. Does anyone know exactly all the foods I need to cut from my diet? I really want to get closer to God and I think this will help. Thanks in advance.

To help you with your question I looked it up for you. It's a good read. I like it. I'll try to live this way when I have my own place and family. There's one video to the side that says Does God approve of this, that I watched. It's not saying to be vegetarian, but well raised animals is the way to go. It's rare to find vegetarian raised meat in a regular grocery store, and it will cost more for less, but it's more than worth it for what you're supporting I think. here it is Animal Cruelty and the Meat Industry Anyway if you want meat I suggest looking perhaps for a local market.

Healthy eating is always a good idea. But be careful about falling into the old law which was done away with in the New Testament. Getting closer to God is done through studying His word, prayer, fellowship with other Christians, etc. :)

I cannot believe that we are never to follow our Lord!! The 119th psalm is scripture that must be put together with Paul’s repeating that “the law doesn’t save”. We are to understand them BOTH and know how they fit together. Whatever would our Lord say to such instructions as you give to “be careful of following the law”. Granted, ceremonial law can be a trap if it is used as a key to God without any idea of its spiritual purpose, but to not listen to God the Father at all is just wrong.

God taught the Hebrews about spiritual cleanliness through teaching to not eat animals who were scavengers. What meat we eat does not make us clean, but it is not wrong to also use that as a human reminder to ourselves to be clean in thought word and deed.

Paul taught that it was wrong of the Jews to demand that we obey ceremonial law in order to be included, but Paul would never teach to disregard our Father God.
