A long-time family favorite. Very Rich.

LEMON ICE BOX PIE:

3 eggs
1 can condensed milk
3 lemons
1 graham cracker crumb crust
1/2 cup sugar

yolks in milk - mix well
pour lemon juice over it - mix well
pour in grahm cracker or vanilla wafer pie crust
whites - beat until fluffy, add sugar (1/4 cup to start)
until thick and fluffy (3/4 - 1 cup) - white and foamy and thick
pour over pie - put in hot oven just long enough to brown top

That reminds me - I forgot to put in the first post that it is even better if you put it in the refrigerator for several hours (or overnight) before you eat it -- if you can make yourself wait that long... :D

Perhaps "just a little" -- but, it is overtaken by "the sweet"...

Also - the lemon juice "cooks" the egg yolk - so, because of the chemical reactions ... it is not nearly as 'sour' as you might think...
