Complete Steak Dinner in CrockPot

Use a thick 3/4 inch steak

Pour a 1/2 cup A1 or Heinz 57 sauce over meat
cover with a layer of foil

add foil wrapped potatoes

and foil wrapped frozen corn cobs

cook on low for 6 hours

Full steak dinner any night of the week! This can also be done with thick pork chops or chicken breasts and BBQ sauce. The whole meal cooks in the slow cooker.

6 hours for potatoes and corncobs?
Low heat , ok.

May try this some day.

I have been such a bad chef that i dont like my own cooking.
Used to love cooking but that was when had someone to cook for.

Ones (mine anyway) passion awakens when one is cooking fooooor someone and not for one self all time.

Also i dont feel as inspired to put so much time into cooking for one person and that being myself.
Having had cancer i needed to eat better but have difficulties.

Made cauli flower soup that was nice (once).
All other times it turned out not nice.
Will post recipe here anyway as it healthy and nice made right way.

same bbq s....ooo i looove bbq s but who wants to pull out a big bb q and sit there alone....
its something one does with friends and family.

I ate out this day, happy get good meal in me for $10 .
was quich and was similar price buy ready made one in grocery store.
Last one made at home was not nice.

Concidering getting meals on wheels or something, but ready meals till am better at eating again .

Thankyou for the tip.

roast dinners nice and this is option for the lone eaters. :)

cauliflower soup sounds nice, broccoli soup sounds great too.

you could try those steam packets that you put a bunch of stuff you want to eat in it and shove it in the oven. They sell them over by the foil and plastic wrap department in my store. I'd try them but I cook for 4 people. That would have to take a pretty big bag... LOL

I'm sorry, call me a spoil sport. I just couldn't resist poking you! In my book magicians should have crockpots. Because, the minute you place a good steak (that has done nothing to anybody) in a crockpot, it turns into a pot roast. Poor steak...:)

I've had good times with a good steak. One of my best times was... I went to my local butcher and picked up two steaks the size of a plate. I drove about 40 miles to a very close brothers house in the country. We built a fire in the side yard. Pulled a cinder block and a couple of logs up to the fire. We sharpened two sticks. Laid the butcher pare wrapped steaks on the block and opened them up. We seasoned them with a little Krazy Janes Mixed Up Salt. We then used a pocket knife to cut the steaks into pieces and cooked them one piece at a time over the fire. Daaaz Gooood!
