Chili is a very personal thing -- so many people do so many things with it, but I'm happy to share my very "generic" chili recipe:

One quart canned tomatoes
3/4 lb ground beef
One can kidney beans
One onion (chopped)
Chili powder (I use at least a tablespoon), salt and red pepper flakes to taste.

Brown the ground beef in a large pot with 1/2 of the onion. Drain the fat from the beef and return the beef to the pot with the tomatoes and rest of the onion. Drain and rinse the kidney beans and add those as well. Add about one quart water. Add spices to taste. Let it simmer forever (until it cooks down to the consistency you like it).

I have never understood why people wouldn't want to share a good recipe. I love to cook and if you listen to others I am pretty good at it. I love to share my recipes for others to enjoy! I have a big family and cook in big quanitites. I cook completely to taste but will do my best to break it down for you.

ground beef
choped or sherred chicken (amount is less than the ground beef
2 cans of diced tomatoes. ( I sometimes get one with the chili spiced in it)
one can of pinto beans
one can of navy beans
one can of kidney beans
onion chopped
chopped green pepper
1 packet of chili seasoning
1 1/2 table soon of chili powder
1 1/2 table spoon of cummin
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
a dash of ground red pepper (more if you like it spicey
salt and pepper to taste

combine all spices and tomatoes, and beans do not drain any of the canned items. Simmer for hours..

Again I do it all by taste and cook about three times that so I am not sure on measurments but that should get you started
