Gluten Free, Honey-onion Chicken
So for this recipe most of the work and mixing is in the sauce. I usually pre-heat the oven between 350-400, it just depends on how well done you like your chicken.
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of Chicken breast (or as much as you’d like)
-1/2 onion sliced
-2 Tbs of butter
-1/3 cup of Olive oil
-2 Tbs of honey
-1 tsp of garlic
-1 tsp of pepper
-1/2 tsp of salt
-Brown Rice (as much as you’d like)
1. Clean and trim the chicken.
2. Cut onions
3. Melt the butter; then add in olive oil and honey. Then combine the dry seasons of garlic, pepper, salt.
4.For this part I usually use a sauce brush. Put chicken in baking pan (I usually use glass). The “paint” sauce on the chicken.Leave a little sauce left over. If you do not have a brush a spoon also works. Try to cover and saturate as much of the chicken as possible.
5. Sprinkle the onions over the chicken and then take the last of the sauce and “paint” or drizzle the onions.
6. Cover and put into oven for 30-45 mins. Or until the onions turn golden brown and the chicken white on the inside.
*If you’d like to eat this over brown rice, start the rice before anything else. That way it’s done when the chicken is done !
