Super simple. Get whichever meat you would like. As far as I understand it works with beef, pork and chicken. I've only used it with pork and chicken so far.
All you need to do is put the meat in the crock pot, and pour a 2 liter of Root Beer soda in there with it ( I personally suggest A&W Brand). Should be able to cover the meat at least 3/4 of the way. Then, let it cook for about 6-8 hours on low. The longer it cooks, the more tender the meat becomes
Once it's done cooking, drain out the soda into the sink, then use a fork to shred the meat. It should shred perfectly. It usually makes it so tender and moist that it just falls apart.
After you've shredded it, just dump in a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce, mix it up, and serve on hamburger buns.
I love how little effort it takes, and you end up with absolutely delicious results.
