Food Ingredients:
I think that's everything needed for the soup.
Boil the chicken legs in a pot full of water about a half hour. I boil it on high heat, then when it boils I'll gradually reduce the heat, with a plate/lid on the top, until it's just below medium. You can tell when they're done cooking because the meat will come right off the bone when you try picking it up with a fork. Turn the heat up on high until boiling again. Add rice once it's boiling. Put a lid/plate on the pot and gradually decrease the heat. I always stir the rice. Not sure if it's needed, though.
Get a large bowl and put all the chicken legs in so we can use the pot. Get a medium-sized bowl of cold water. I normally put one or two chicken legs in at a time, otherwise the water gets too hot for me. While the legs are cooling in the water, put Himalayan salt, garlic powder, pepper, and basil into the pot of water. It doesn't hurt to add some chicken broth or bouillon cube(except the sodium/msg's in it).
After that, take the meat from the cooling chicken off the bone and put the meat in the pot. Put a couple more chicken legs in the cool water. If the water's warm, then dump it out and put cool water in it again.
Put some chicken legs in the cold water, then add your veggies!!! Yay veggies!!!! You know what the best part of the vegetables is? Some people don't like them, which means more for you lol.
Put all the de-boned chicken inside the pot for the soup. I don't know how to make the dumplings correctly, they always turn out weird and gooey and mushy. If anyone has tips for me, please tell. My family enjoys crackers with the soupl
