Do you know? as the Christmas season is near, the idol worshippers have started causing problems. There are reports of minor incidents happening to believers . across India. In chattisgarh state the VHP( Vishwa Hindu parishad) , this organisations which is always against christians have released a memorandum, which says that the statue of Hindu Godesses Saraswati to be installed in school run by christians , no distribution of gifts to childrens by santaclaus and in Andhra pradesh they are trying to convert back the new christian believers, so friends stay alert. The enemy is a roaring lion seeking whom to destroy.

God bless!

They are active in major cities here in America, too, though not yet so extremist. We have the Muslims too, but not so extremist against Christianity, Hindu, and all other religions like in India. It is building up to that here.

I found some press on your report:
"RAIPUR: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh has objected to several activities of the church and raised questions about use of school buses for religious functions, as well as Santa Claus distributing chocolates to schoolkids during Christmas. The VHP and its backed outfits have also said they want idols of Godess Saraswati, the Hindu deity of learning, installed in missionary schools.
While the Catholic school authorities agreed to have the Goddess's idols installed, they rejected VHP's other demands saying these were an infringement on their freedom to manage their religious affairs guaranteed by the Constitution.
Read more at LiveLeak.com - Vishwa Hindu Parishad now opposes Santa Claus giving chocolates to kids during Christmas

We know how the Vatican tends to embrace idols. To be fair I know Christian Hindus don't often take the pictures of idols off the walls, adding a picture of Jesus, partly out of fear of offending an extremist Hindu bringing terror to their house for adding Jesus. The RCC is cursing itself once again with such compromises.

I pray for India daily, as well as our own nation, that God's will be done there for those trusting Him. But we can't pray away persecution which Jesus assured would come because of hatred for Him. I've had credible online threats by Muslims over my comments over the years, some from abroad, but we live peaceably enough to be about the teachng and preaching of the gospel of Christ, but of course can't identify my location for the sake of family, friends, church, city security. So I know the concern for the world-wide growth of religious

The only answer is for world-wide repentance and salvation in Christ. We need a national revival here. Once submitted to God the devil would be left fleeing into his corner to stay until the final bell (analogy of western fist boxing in a ring).

The only good things about persecution is that it brings out the best in Christians and tells the world who the Christians are.
Now I am just thinking out loud.
I think India and some other countries are being used as 'test runs' for what's to come to all of the world one day.
America took many jobs there - but will America bring the protection of freedom of religion there? Or will the UN?
I doubt it. It's just a test run country as well as other nations where America is bringing 'jobs' - like China, Africa, some islands, etc..
Hello civil/ethnic wars - good bye freedoms. We as Christians need to get used to this, worldwide.
Persecution also takes the bad things out of Christianity and replaces it with more unity & to the things that 'really' matter.
As they say, the word "martyr" came from the Greek word for "witness".
But Jesus seemed to indicate that a portion of the persecution will come from those that also call themselves Christians, so we must be strong now and not wait until then. We're to be wise as serpents but as harmless as doves - loving our enemies now yet never compromising truth to appease anyone. Much like Daniel himself and chpt 3 about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

Pray for the Saints and those that will become Saints, everywhere.
We can pray easier for all if we remember that we are all 'one' - so our mind is praying for the one Body of Christ.
That's what I was thinking about earlier - praying for 'one', as it seemed too large in my mind to pray for millions or billions.
Nice to think though - that no matter where the Saints are, we are one body.
Gave me joy and the joyful anticipation of how it will be when we are all finally surrounding His Throne as one.
Good thought to take to sleep time.

I am sorry to hear this.

It's so ridiculous for these people to get angry for Christmas carols, because when they have all their temple processions and loud speakers blaring bhajans, blocking roads, they do it with impunity.

Last year, the pastor of a church ministering to the poor, that my family supports was beaten up by a gang of thugs because they didn't want him preaching in the area anymore. He too was hospitalized.

There was nothing much we could do against these people, though we did go to the police.

It's worse because they're backed up by political organizations and bigwigs in parties like BJP and RSS.

There are so many attacks happening for the people of God, especially at the grassroots.

Some of it doesn't even get on the news and we feel so helpless - when all this happens. :(
Thank you for sharing this nnd. I will be praying for this.

Our prayers are to our God who comes to the rescue of those who are helpless.

There is something perhaps those who live in India could explain to me.Since they worship so many different gods anyway, why would they become angry if a person would worship an unknown God to them??( acts 17:20-28)

Brother Brighthouse, I'm not in India but I believe it's the same wherever a true Christian goes. The True Light of the World shines on the darkness and it angers them because they love the darkness rather than the Light.
I believe that His Love is equal to His Light and they hate both - and the world claims that our God isn't Love because He's also equally 'Holy' and His Holiness is that Light, Love & Truth and the Only Way -- all of which is being rejected by those, world-wide, especially those in high-places that have plans to exterminate all of us that they can.

It's just that some governments are turning a blind eye to it, and for the time being some don't permit obvious persecution, yet. There is no "Global Watchdog" for Christian's protection. Just a few ministries that try to help, but none governmental.

We all need to be praying and speaking up for the persecuted Church.
Eventually we'll be a part of it and who will be left to pray or speak out for us.

Bless you & yours, Brother & Sister Brighthouse & Thank you, Levi, for the OP.

Thank you sister GodInChrist for your honest answer.I have discovered another possible reason, which is this. Do most people wish to be equal in being right, as in being wrong? Perhaps not.A believer worships there God on a much higher plain.( example My god is the everlasting sky,and you god lives beneath him. hehe) For people to hear of a god which is above all others, perhaps makes them a bit uneasy.

It would also seem to be because Christianity defies the existence of all other gods and calls for the worship of only one God. Would this not have an economic impact on the commercial trade of idol?

Its time to read the book of Esther and fast and pray hard so that all the Haman's of this age learn that The God we serve is mighty and awesome,

Matthew 5:6
6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

For wickedness to be brought low righteousness has to be exalted, lets hunger and thirst for righteousness.

Many things can be possible brother Oldhermit, and with so many who live in India who are on here,I do not understand why none of them will respond?? I have never been there,I cannot say anything for certain about there people! But so many from India have written me asking me to come, yet not wish to prepare me for coming? Would going there become my Jerusalem?? LOL As bold as i am in Christ it sure could! I only wish to learn. Before you eat at any table ,the table is prepared,so you see what, if anything is being offered to you. this is all I am looking for, to learn! Thanks
