Donot worry Crittle, Surely you will be here in India, and the one who will grant you the permission is our Lord. Father God , we pray for Crittle, please help her to get the Indian Visa, so that she can come here, and work for you in the orphanage, Lord, prepare for the trip, and let you bring her to India, and all the stumbling blocks be removed, yes Lord bless Crittle, in this matter, in Jesus precious name, Amen!

I have been to India twice and can give you a little insight as to what is going on with the visas!

The new(ish) government of India is in favor of the Hindu faith and want to radically re-Hinduize the country. It has been increasingly difficult for foreigners to enter the country, particularly from Canada, America and Australia, partially because of the risk of allowing missionaries into the country. While I was there several people who were not Indian citizens were dropping like flies, visas were being denied left, right and center.

Unfortunately because you declare your faith on your visa application this allows the government to investigate into you. Are you public on the internet? Do you post faith-based articles? Even single entry tourist visas can be denied to foreigners if they suspect you are in any way attached to missions. They have also eliminated the one year work visa that used to be an option to foreigners.

It is a difficult time for Christians in India... however, I do hope you do get your visa! I have seen, heard and met people who were not so lucky, but even so they used it as a time to grow in God and trust Him even more, even though that meant they could not continue His work in India, at least for a time.

I was reminded of the early church in the days Paul and Peter while I was there. The persecution of Christians is very real, and many of God's people there live secret lives. However, this stirs a fire in people I've failed to see in the comforts of North America, where cyber bullying and eye rolls are the worst most Christians get.

I hope you get to go and experience India. It is a country full of heart ache and beauty. I wish to return one day.

hey.. its time for Christians to rise up and stand firm , no authority can control the life of people .

you are right in hearing about the new government ( Hindutva) mostly in regional/villages / small towns, not much affected in cities , although the education system is forcing some of the hindu culture...

I certainly hope you get your visa , let me know if I can be of any help....

I pray u will get ur visa in the mighty name of Yeshua! No weapon formed against us will prosper!
I am Indian and I know that the authorities are trying g to suppress christian it and encourage Hinduism, however Christ is alive and is sweeping g the nation for His Kingdom! THere are more Hindus Coming to Jesus than ever before and not becoz of missionaries! But becoz Jesus is healing and breaking the bonds of poverty a d is showing His love for His creation! !! Praise Jesus !!!
No one is forcing them! They r opening their heart to their Lord and creator! !
Like every Indian will do as India is a religious and spiritual country !
