Well as you all know it is a hot topic ,what is your stand on this? well first of all I must say my father is from Costal Andhra and my mom is from Warangal (Telangana) . I am born here(TG) and I love this place so much. It is clear that many places in TG region are neglected and most of them are poor . I can't deny the fact that people from Costal region exploited TG enough to start the agitation but technically everything done legally I guess:rolleyes:.Government should have taken some measures to see people from TG are not neglected but then it is too late now. I think it is not appropriate to divide people speaking the same language on such grounds .I heard that this demand for separate state started right in the 1960's and many opposed the inclusion of of TG in AP. so, it is clearly a complicated issue.Personally I get benefited by this as I am born and brought up here and I am in a way okay with this move by the Govt :p United or divided I will welcome as it is.what do you think?

Almost all the states (barring few) in India are after all created on the basis of ethnic lines, so, why not?

If creating new Telangana state=better administration (no ethnic conflict)=development and progress.

I am from rayalaseema, and as usual my mindset is to support united AP. Because, all our tax money goes to hyderabad and it is over developed, where my town is still in 1980's stage. Since my birth, i didnt see any difference in my town. No developments. Same mud roads, filled with stones, same huts, schools, colleges, nothing changed. all are same since 1980's. Politicians should hav concentrated to develop other zones. In Tamil Nadu i can see that chennai and Coimbatore is equally developed. People in chennai will not find any difference to move to coimbatore. But its not the case in AP.

Srikrishna committee appointed by central govt said after analysing for 10 months in AP that Rayalaseema is more underdeveloped than telangana. But who cared it? AP was ruled by Rayalaseema chief ministers in past 20 years. but why no developments?

Then what is the future plan now:

Anyway the bill is passed in Parliament, we cant go back and change it. So, we have to elect the public representatives clearly who can focus on development of district headquarters as industrial zones, where none should depend on capital city. Development should be uniform irrespective of local influences.

I am OK for the formation of new telangana. If telangana people select the corrupt politicians in upcoming election with dream of own rule, then hyderabad will become worst city in next 5 years.

Yep right that is for sure , but it applies not only to hyderabad. See in your own words you said your place isn't developed for years therefore now Govt has a good chance to concentrate on these places and develop them evenly, had the same AP continued your place would have remained the same right? But the only thing is that it may take lots of time for these undeveloped places to catch-up with others .I hope everything goes well out there and you be compensated enough for the loss...let us pray.

It seems to me (as someone who is not Indian) that Federally India is supposed to be multicultural and secular, while at a state level specific religions and ethnicities are privileged; is this correct?

As a Christian (and I don't want to involve myself in Indian politics) it seems the priority is the progress of the gospel, beyond politics, in whatever jurisdiction.

that is true especially in northern states compared to southern , every day christians face persecution there , particularly in Odisha(previously orissa) where thousands are killed in the last five years, you can watch some of these clips in youtube
