Perversion of the Truth!

by HEIsRiSen on 3 Weeks Ago at 09:31 AM
Matthew 7 (NLT):
21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’, will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.
22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name
and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’
23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ ”

Running the Race

by HEIsRiSen on March 12th, 2013 at 02:37 PM
Running a long distance race requires much endurance to make it to the finish. Runners train for months, even years to condition themselves for such. Likewise, we are conditioned in the spirit to run the race set before us so that we also may endure to the finish.

Treasure

Matthew 6:19-21
King James Version

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

What are we treasuring? Are we treasuring the things of this world? Corruptible things?

Identity Crisis

by HEIsRiSen on February 6th, 2013 at 06:05 PM
It is so easy for us to lose sight of who we are- in Christ, if we do not see ourselves as God sees us. Satan, the devil, will use anything at his disposal to confuse us and cause a spiritual identity crisis amongst Christians. Consider any confusion about who you are in Christ a spiritual attack from the enemy; for God is not the author of confusion(1Corinth.14:33).

The devil wants us to think that we evolved from some cosmic hiccup in the universe; when we have been created in
