"If we want to study the word of God, we need to have an open mind to allow the Holy Spirit to teach us. A closed mind lets in no light. If the Spirit illuminates a scripture, we need to be willing to display a teachable spirit. When we align ourselves with any particular camp we are no longer teachable. That is elementary"

John 14:27: "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid"

"Be Still, and know that I am God"....

by Katy-follower on 4 Days Ago at 01:07 AM

Even when it feels like God is silent, He's still there. I've been feeling overwhelmed for several days, and then He had this scripture pop up on my pinterest last night. I didn't sleep well, but amazingly I woke up feeling at peace and very well rested, and the first thing on my mind was that same scripture... "Be Still, and know that I am God".

The Hebrew definition of "Be Still" in the Psalms is to "let go... surrender" and in the NT when Jesus

Russia & China...

by Katy-follower on April 11th, 2018 at 12:08 PM
I've only ever had 2 visions in my life... one while awake and the other while sleeping. Both were definitely from God, biblically lining up with the scriptures, and they were lessons for me in both humility and faith. Both were back in 2011, and it was amazing that at that time, having not read much of the scriptures, that God chose to teach me through a vision... some lessons which were already in the scriptures!! One of them I shared here on my blog, titled "Humbling vision".

The context then is clearly spiritual healing, so forgiveness of our sins, the inner change, as a result of Jesus' sacrifice for us. "By His stripes we are healed"

It would be worrying to suggest this is referring to physical

Psalm 143...

by Katy-follower on February 2nd, 2018 at 01:23 AM
I've been reading some of the psalms this week, and I came across this one that's been on my mind most of the week. I can really empathize with David, because I feel the exact same way as him right now. Many of these verses resonate with me... my soul being afflicted and persecuted, my life being crushed to the ground, being left to dwell in darkness, my Spirit being overwhelmed and my heart distressed.

I feel truly broken... damaged beyond repair. The flesh side of me just gives up
