In your opinion do you believe world is about 6000 years old

Exodus 12,40 is clear. They were in Egypt in 430 years: Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.

    Does Hell Exist?

Thanks for the reference. You are right. And I see also in the next verse: Rev 24,15: And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. That means that the ones who did not believe on Jesus, forever will be belong to damnation.

    Does Hell Exist?

Do you have proof? I learned in my church that these are two words for the same place - just like "Heaven" and "The eternal Jerusalem" are two synonyms.

I guess you live in England or Australia? In Norway this is a very good advice indeed😄

    water baptism in Jesus' Name.

To get baptized is like a confession - a statement, that you believe in this church's teaching. Look up the 10th chapter in the Romans. Ask me if you don't understand what I mean.

Hi. I have been learning Anscient Greek for about a year, and have found some interesting old Bible Manuscripts: - Codex Sinaiticus - Codex Vaticanus - Codex Alexandrinus Does anybody here know if these manuscripts are thrustworthy? And what about NA28? Which Bible verses could one check, and...

In your opinion do you believe world is about 6000 years old

Can you please tell me your message in a simple way? I am a simple soul from a simple country. Still - I understand that you try to convey that there cannot be something the Father knows, and not the son. If that might be - how should my bibleverse be interpreted? And what is the difference...

In your opinion do you believe world is about 6000 years old

I have questions about old texts, like codex Sinaiticus, Alexandrius and Vaticanus, but I will make a new post about it somewhere else on this forum.

I could gladly participate and search in the Bible to find the correct age, to prove archaeologists wrong, when they talk about millions of years old earth. And I could agree that christians might be persecuted in the coming years, for their belief, which would be a sign of that the Judgement...

That is not what I was told in my church. They teached me about the water baptism.

Say that God told us these six first days were normal days, but actually they were tousands of years? Then it would make God a liar. But God is not a liar. Ergo: It must be exactly what he said - six normal days, and the Earth is about 6000 years old. And, yes, Moses wrote down the first five...

    Does Hell Exist?

Good point - if The Bible was one book, written by one Person. But - it is not. The word "biblia" means "books", and The Bible is a collection of a lot of different types of books and scriptures. Still - if someone doubts The Bible is God's word, then they would (of course) rather listen to...

How do you know it is the baptism of fire? I am sure he means the baptism of John - the baptism of water.

    Does Hell Exist?

My pleasure. There are many. Here is a few: Job 26:6 - “Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.” Matthew 23:33 - “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of Hell? Luke 10:15 - “And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust...

    water baptism in Jesus' Name.

With all due respect. Is this what Jesus says - "only believe, and don't bother getting baptized"? No. He says: Mark 16,16: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved Do someone call themselves a true christian, when they haven't gotten themselves baptized in a true church? No.
