Have any (Pet Sins)?

And that is commendable! I am just saying except one whom was wonderful (he still looked and there for lusted did he not?) And that was a man who was proud to have me with him, have been cheater and adulters .Or is looking at other women with appeal not lustful? And I only ask this because maybe I am to straight laced about this.

That was/is one of my pet sins, along with anger and some occasional foul language.


You'd be suprised how close to 100 percent lust free you can be though. Seriously with Christ it really is possible. You get to where you see the most inappropriately dressed beautiful woman and you just turn your eyes somewhere else. I guess that's bad for her if she's trying to attract a guy though, but that's her problem .

Dear Father in Heaven

Please be with ServantStrike as he comes to you with a few pet sins asking for help in overcoming them. Please remind him that You want us to think pure and noble thoughts, that You will be with him during those times of anger ready to show him a better way and that he should remember he is a child of the King when tempted to use the wrong words. Help all of us to remember that we are Your hands and feet, mouth and representatives of Your Kingdom and to some we may be the only Bible they will ever read, so give him the strength to follow You completely and have a desire to let you help him overcome these pet sins. Whisper in his ear when things aren't quite right so that he can correct the behavior or language. Help him to become more and more like Jesus. Thank You for Your help In Jesus Name Amen

Amen! Possible, but are we willing to accomplish this through Christ when those temptations come around every time? We all have our weak moments. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak!

Look away is what we should do. I have done that on many occasions but then I have my weak moments at times. Like I said before, lusting after women is a tough pet sin to break. Not impossible, but tough!

Procrastination. I didnt use to be as a student, then much later saw i was in other areas of life. I also murmured, and thought i was shy, then realized it was actually pride. But these are serious sins i confess. There's so much to purge in this soul.

Yes, trying to keep my eyes from lusting after other women has been the greatest struggle in my walk, both strong and weak times. Sometimes it feels like I'll never learn not too but I like that all things in Christ are possible scripture.

Please help mar09 he would like help with procrastination and pride, these can get us into trouble Father and he is asking for Your help. Please give him a humble spirit and the strength to go through this changing process that You will put him through. Help him to realize that You are by his side and are happy he would like these changes made in his life. You are our power and strength and we thank You for You unending love toward us. Please help Breno with his request of fighting against lust. It is hard Father when there is so much to look at and I ask that You would help him to think of You instead in these moments of lust that He would see Your love for him and realize that there is so much more to life than these types of feelings. Help him to dwell on Your presence in his life and the love that you have for him and his family. Help him to focus on the plan You have for his life and to help in spreading the gospel so Your Kingdom can come quickly. We are not alone as You have promised to be with us to the end of the world so strengthen him in his walk with You, build his faith and trust I pray in Jesus Name Amen.

well maybe you should start really looking at women, who and what they really are...... not just short skirts and tight tee shirts.

let me add to this: i pray that you can accept gods grace and start seeing women as partners, joining with a man, socially, spiritually, and physically, not just as blobs of meat wrapped in tight jeans

Amen, and, more generally, Lord help me to see all fellow members of the human race as precious and beautiful in your eyes, made in your image, and full of unlimited spiritual potential.

People ask if Jesus lusted after women. The more I think about it, the more ridiculous it sounds. He may have been tempted in all points, but He was also without sin. He practiced what He preached. He created, loved, and He died on the cruel cross for those 'blobs of meat'.

thats a tough one ..... i guess i have aged out of lust (im 75 and have calmed a lot lol) but pride and anger are tough to deal with. the Lord and i discuss them a lot

Dear Father In Heaven

Anger and pride Father we need Your help with these issues so I ask that You would draw close and whisper in our ears when we are in danger of both of these issues. Help O-N-W as this is his request and help us to become humble and calm instead. Things can irritate us in this world and we can become prideful I pray that You help us keep this in check and to bring honor and glory to Your Name in all things that we do. Thank You that You are always with us as we know we need You. In Jesus Name Amen.
