In referrencing 1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 12 choose a gift that you would like to have.
1 Corinthians 12
Wisdom (think of Solomon's gift)
Knowledge (this includes it being extra sensory and fathoming mysteries)
Faith (one that could include moving mountains)
Healing (encompassing the physical mental and emotional)
Miraculous Powers (don't exclude the abilities of Samson)
Prophecy (this includes the possibility of the revelatory depth of the apostle John)
Distinguishing between spirits (supernatural discernment)
Speaking in tongues (this includes the ability to speak in other langauges, even angelic langauge)
Interpretation of tongues (supernatural ability to interpret, including "unfruitful" words of the spirit; 1 Cor 14:14)
Romans 12
Prophecy (this includes the possibility of the revelatory depth of the apostle John)
Serving (probably one of the most menial of the gifts but the most honored)
Teaching (making hard things simple for others to get)
Encouragement (think of being a motivational speaker)
Giving (working with the poor and helping the brethren)
Leading (being in a position of influence such as a bishop or deacon but not including pastor)
Mercy (a very blessed gift which includes the compassion of Jesus; looking past peoples faults and seeing their need)
Pick two gifts, one major and one minor.

Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
