They're Christians. Why do other Christians hate them?

JW's are not Christians, as with most cult religions Jesus is the sticking point and for this reason JW's do not celebrate Christmas. Unless you believe in the trinity and agree that Christ died for our sins and rose again you cannot call yourself a Christian.

Except that JW's DO believe that Christ was sent by his/our Holy Father and died as the ransom sacrifice to pay for our inherited sin. They also believe that Jehovah gave Christ Jesus the Throne and Authority over the earth as our King, because of his sons proven faithfulness do the death. Therefore, he accomplished his earthly mission and resurrected to a spiritual kingly position. The first thing he did when he was seated at the right hand of Jehovah/YHWH is kick Satan and other rebel angels out of heaven and confined them to the earth for a short time.
How is that not Christian?

Where in the Bible does it ever say that Christ celebrated his birthday? Or that anyone else should be honored in such a way?

Satan believes that Christ died for our sins and he knows why he had to do it. Satan is also very aware of Christ resurrection since, it was after his resurrection that Christ kicked him out of Heaven. Does that make Satan a Christian because he knows Christs and celebrates holidays? Satan loves self adoration and that's why he inspired birthday celebrations.

I don't think they believe that Jesus WAS God. And I'm not sure they talk much about the power of the blood of Christ establishing our righteousness.

They believe that he was the son of God, but they don't believe he was part of the trinity.

I mean there are some weird religious people, we have Christians which come one who isnt weird in the eyes of the world. but you have mormons who claim to be Christians you have catholics who say the same thing now you have JW and apparently they are Christians? If your a Christian why dont you just say Christian?

So Ladybug, You don't know what they believe and don't know anything about them personally, but you'll take the word of anyone else over what the Bible says to look for? Do you usually draw conclusions and pass judgments without actually investigating a matter yourself, what is true and what is not true? Nothing I found on JW.ORG supports the rumors. Did you even look at it? It's the only link you sent that is actually an official JW website.

I'm curious, what is Christianity to you? And how does your description match up to what the Holy Scriptures say it is?

As I stated above, I don't know much about them, and neither do some others on here. I wasn't passing any judgments so I don't know where you get that from, but whatever. You asked why christians hate JW's. I gave you a link to the FAQ of what they do and don't believe. I'm sorry it was not helpful for you. As far as I know, the bible does not speak specifically of Jehovah's Witnesses, though I could be mistaken on that.

If they are Christians then why do they call themselves Jehovah witnesses? Why dont they call themselevs Christians? All I know is that if they dont have a personal relationship with God and do not have love in their hearts then they are no Christian.

If Jesus IS The Holy Father, then that would make him equal to his Father, is that right? JW's believe that Christ is God's son, only begotten son, the only way for God's Kingdom to come, here on earth, as it is in Heaven IS thru the ransom sacrifice of his son. (remember the Our Father prayer?) Perfect human life for perfect human life to restore perfect righteousness on earth. Isn't that Christian?

If only it was that simple. I was brought up in the Catholic faith but I adhere to very little of the doctrine, only to those portions that are applicable to what is in the Word of God. I am currently attending SDA church as it closely follows biblical principals and precepts. First and foremost, I am a Christian. I believe that God hates religion as it is an attempt by man to please God by earthly means but He is understanding and compassionate in this regard.

No it is not Christian. First off Jesus had to have been one with the father because only God can forgive sins and Jesus forgave sins all the time if he was not God then what he did was blasphemy. Another thing is that what makes a Christian Christian is knowing the truth like the trinity but most importantly its about the relationship with God. there are far to many beliefs that divide Christianity and odds are every one of us believe something that isnt right but God looks at the heart not simply what we believe.

I will say it again if they do not have an actual relationship with God and have no love in their hearts then they are not Christians. This is why many people who claim to be Christians are really not. Sure they believe in the trinity they read and study the word they have faith to move mountains and pray constantly but many have no love in their hearts and are judgemental and hypocrites

1. JW have their own version of the Bible (Watchtower) which they believe should be used over all other versions.
2. They believe the Trinity does not exist.
3. They believe Jesus was Michael the Archangel before becoming man.
4. They believe that Jesus is a lesser God than Jehovah God.
5. They believe that salvation must be earned through works
6. They believe that there are two types of Christians and that only one type gets to Heaven, the other will live in "paradise" on earth.
7. They believe that we will be Gods when we get to Heaven.
8. They believe there is no eternal Hell.
9. No blood transfusions are allowed even if it is required to save a life.
10. They believe that Christ returned in 1914 to begin setting up his kingdom and that WWI was a sign.

Please don't tell me JW are Christians, the above doctrine is all the proof you need that they are not! This is serious, to believe that JW are Christians is wrong and dangerous!
