It is shocking to me to see how christians treat each other, the above question is something peple should consider before trashing other believers. Noone is corrected or learns by being insulted. Perhaps praying that the Holy Spirit will open thier eyes or consider asking for wisdom for oneself. A closed mind cannot learn.

It was said that persecution was the seed that made early church grow, but the persecution of our fellow brothers and sisters in the name doctrinal purity be our undoing in the West. The places in the world that where persecution is rampant the church is Unite on one thing the Lordship Jesus. Our faith is not based on becoming Hersey Pharisees pointing out what we think are short comings in other brothers and sisters doctrines. God called us to be the restorer of the waste places and repairers of the breach. The Word should be the bridge that unites us in our faith Christ. We should not use the Word to build walls that separate us. The best guidance we have is our Lord's prayer in the garden.

John 17:9-26New King James Version (NKJV)[SUP]9 [/SUP]“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. [SUP]10 [/SUP]And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me,[SUP][a][/SUP] that they may be one as We are. [SUP]12 [/SUP]While I was with them in the world,[SUP][b][/SUP] I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept;[SUP][c][/SUP] and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. [SUP]13 [/SUP]But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. [SUP]14 [/SUP]I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. [SUP]15 [/SUP]I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. [SUP]16 [/SUP]They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. [SUP]17 [/SUP]Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. [SUP]18 [/SUP]As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. [SUP]19 [/SUP]And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.
[h=3]Jesus Prays for All Believers[/h][SUP]20 [/SUP]“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will[SUP][d][/SUP] believe in Me through their word; [SUP]21 [/SUP]that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. [SUP]22 [/SUP]And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: [SUP]23 [/SUP]I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. [SUP]25 [/SUP]O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. [SUP]26 [/SUP]And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

Yes there is lots of this here in cc alone. People have forgotten what it means to be a Christian which is to be love. So I say we pray for God to fill us deeply with his love so we can pour it into our posts and when people see this they will be reminded of what being a Christian means. Actually this is a good idea Ima do this for sure and knowing how open I am to pouring my heart out into my posts perhaps God can use me as a vessel

it's waaayy too easy to be faceless and nameless online...

maybe if we are careful to not post things we wouldn't actually say to a person's face?

and may God give us Grace for one another.

We are overcomers as Jesus is....what did He use to overcome? scripture and love. If we wielded the Word with love none can withstand.

I know! Very timely... I am new at this, day 2, and not used to the abusive attitudes of some heavy handed posters here, who are personally offensive. Such people wouldn't be in any church that I would attend I can sure say that. By their fruits you will know them. We can't uproot those tares without damaging the fruitful wheat, so I rest in the Lord knows best.

Exactly!!!! Over the years some of my views have changed (nothing foundational) but I have learned, I may not have agreed with a premise but when I searched something out in the Bible I was able to examine my belief and see if it lined up with the Bible or was simply a tradition but always with a desire to please God. Sometimes we miss a truth if it's screamed at us in an unkind manner or cannot get past the messenger to the message.(human nature is a funny thing)

i do think we need to be mindful that we don't actually know many others here...

we don't know their circumstances and what they may be going through.

i know one woman who has a hard time relating on a personal level...
but she's great with the Word of God.

so, as we receive the Grace of God from Him, so we should distribute that generous, liberal Grace.

idk about those who persistently misuse the Word...perhaps sometimes getting tough is the right thing to do?
(i honestly don't know...Jesus had no qualms about it.)
but we can be 'tough' without resorting to meanness.

I just watched a youtube video about the blood of the lamb cleansing us from all sin by Tim Conway. It made me cry so much. As we walk in the light the spirit of God convicts us of all sin but when we confess our sin God is faithful and just to forgive. We are all sinners, just because we are saved doesn't make us perfect. It is the spirit of God and the word of God that actually brings us to the point where we confess and are forgiven. Yes we are to point out what the bible says about sin but it is not our place to judge or convict. God has called us to love Him with all our heart and to love our neighbour as our selves.

Blessed be the name of our Lord

Amen

The Holy Spirit will us to draw people unto our Lord only when walk in love. We must open our eyes to the needs of others that they may eat the fruit that Spirit produces when we walk in His love.

Isaiah 58:4-12New King James Version (NKJV)[SUP]4 [/SUP]Indeed you fast for strife and debate,
And to strike with the fist of wickedness.
You will not fast as you do this day,
To make your voice heard on high.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Is it a fast that I have chosen,
A day for a man to afflict his soul?
Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush,
And to spread out sackcloth and ashes?
Would you call this a fast,
And an acceptable day to the Lord?

[SUP]6 [/SUP]“Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Is it not to share your bread with the hungry,
And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out;
When you see the naked, that you cover him,
And not hide yourself from your own flesh?
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Then your light shall break forth like the morning,
Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer;
You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.

“If you take away the yoke from your midst,
The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,
[SUP]10 [/SUP]If you extend your soul to the hungry
And satisfy the afflicted soul,
Then your light shall dawn in the darkness,
And your darkness shall be as the noonday.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]The Lord will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Those from among you
Shall build the old waste places;
You shall raise up the foundations of many generations;
And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach,
The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In..

I hear all the time that the new covenant is Love the Lord with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself, but a lot of times I don't see of feel the love from those speaking of this new covenant.

My take is that we are all going for the same goal which is to ultimately end up in heaven with God/Jesus/Holy Spirit. I believe we are all on different rungs of the ladder in our Christian walk and we should help lift each other up and encourage rather than be right and have the last word. I would love to see the love on display and I do try to respond with that kind of love and not debate to the death.

We need to remember who the real enemy is and it is not each other, but satan and his evil forces. I pray we will act and put in our hearts this new covenant love for God and each other and it become a part of each one of us on CC.

There are pharisees on here too. Jesus harshly rebuked them. But, basically I have met some of the people who talk online here and they are not who they say they are in the chat rooms, so that is why I do not go on Chat as much anymore. It's all about what happens when there is a crisis and someone needs help. Will you be there for each other, online or not?

Yes I have the same question. Also what is Rep Power? There should be some place on this site that explains these things, but I haven't found it.

Yes, I have noticed the same thing. There are all kinds on this site. Some fall into the pharisee category protecting their deep investment in religion. Religious people were Christ's greatest enemies and they were full of hatred, anger and murderous intentions. I usually avoid getting into it with these types because they are so entrenched in error that it would take years of posts to get through to them. They're not teachable anyway, having no humility. If someone attacks me, it hurts of course, but I don't respond in kind, but move on and leave them to the Lord.
