Straw Man.jpg

Okay the point of this thread is to make a straw man logical fallacy about the most recent post. Note for young members, this means to completely twist what the previous post said and then attack it to prove you are right.

(yes, I was totally inspired by the Bible Discussion forum where this goes routinely :D)

Your turn...

First you try to get people to hate scarecrows then you have the audacity to try and tell people what to say! If I had a match I'd torch your strawman!

1. It is illogical and counterproductive to set strawmen on fire.

2. You advocate setting strawmen on fire.

3. Therefore your argument is illogical and counterproductive.

Now that I have put that "strawman" argument to rest, I can finally take off my Wizard of Oz "Scarecrow" costume. It was making me itch anyway!!!

  1. you're assuming i have a strawman, ignoring the obvious possibility that this man is made of nylon imitation straw and synthetic, lo-calorie, gluten-free straw-substitute
  2. it's very cruel of you to deny cold people some much needed warmth that could be provided by burning their neighbors. why do you think that makes you any better than a post-singularity space lobster?
  3. my dad can beat up your dad.

Wow you are endorsing artificial genetically engineered materials, are you thinking what happens when that gets into the soil and then into the food supply and children eat it and get autism? But many just think about their own pockets.

SoulWeaver,

You have been shown in previous threads that the manufacturing of straw is vital to the GDP and beneficial to the working class. Not to mention the copious need for straw to build straw men on CC.

Using only organic straw like you posit would place red tape on small businesses and surly CC users. Add another law, we all know how you are bound up in keeping the law!

Excuse me, what makes you think that mariachi bands compare with Mozart and Beethoven?
But that must be because you're so uneducated.

Your mistake, Sir, is assuming too much! Get your facts straight and actually do some study and "show yourself approved".

You must be from one of them vampire cults, it is only them that oppose garlic and nobody else.
It has already been proven time and again that your doctrine about garlic is false!
